Lol I have the opposite opinion 😂, first seasons female characters where different each other but in the last season they are all the same model (big eyes, etc etc). Lot of people in the last season ask on YT why female models are all the same 😂 on the contrary Han Li has became like a real person. I'm amazed by the quality !

Just watch the donghua, and you will understand the story.
I'm not sure about the other seasons, I read on Reddit that the Director cut off a lot of YY stuff in favor of the side characters while he was hospitalized for the workload of this drama (no evidence about it, only comments, so to be taken with a grain of salt).
But if it is true, I doubt that YY will make himself available for future seasons given the treatment he has received.

What @Enigma05 feels about the adaptation is simply caused by the indiscriminate cutting of the first Chapters emptying the character Han Li and his motivations.
The levels of cultivation are not well explained (many people are confused about it) but ample space is given to unnecessary fillers.
I hope no one makes an adaptation of Renegade Immortal 😂

Personally, I appreciated the slow start of Donghua which allowed me to connect to the character Han LI and his struggle to became powerful and protect himself.
About 3D and poor modeling I think it depends on the fact that they were the only ones who used Motion-Capture to make 3D models.
It's evident from how the movements are fluid and not mechanical.
Behind it there was and there is a huge work of acquisition and remodeling.
We must also consider the level of software from 2020 to today.
