Well, you had 2 comments here and now there's only one.
Edit: I'm adding your own words: "So since you didn’t understand and disliked this movie, everyone else just pretends to like it to show class. Just wow…"

A year too late, but I love the way you immediately make the presumption that, because the dude hates art-house, those films are below his IQ level - it kind of reveals how he had at least a partially valid point to begin with!
Personally, I hate how pretentious and OVERLY LONG most art-house shit is; the rest being just boring with pretty shots.
I've been putting off this festival darling for some time due to its running length but, coming back to it now, it just reminds me of other shit like, Driving Miss Daisy and, Dude Fucked My Wife, So I'm Going to Drive Around with Him in a Taxi - or whatever that highly forgettable Korean cringe was.
Anyway, certainly not original and I personally prefer films in which the duo WALK (Sunset trilogy, Adrift in Tokyo, etc.), I think I'm going to remove this from my viewing list.
I gave it a 7.5.To be honest, the villain was pure evil and actually terrifying! For a pretty slow flick, this…
Where I can't comment on the Asian mentality for rating film & series, I often wonder why sites still use the 10/10 rating, as pretty much nothing ever attains a 10 - from me, at least - and anything people don't like, they rate a 1/10! It's ridiculous that people used to log into sites just to bring down the rating of a film that hasn't even been released yet, just because they didn't like a performer in it, the director, or someone had said something they objected to (usually some anti-woke remark... which is why the despicable "cancel-culture" won the internet for a while, before people realised what it was and stood up to it).
Not too long ago, someone made a snide comment because I dared to give, Weak Hero, a 6.5. The simple facts were: the series had a REALLY crappy start and the rest didn't hold any weight against the comics. But 6.5 still isn't a bad score - it's above average!
On MDL, a 5 or 6 is typically bad and, where users of this site are less prone to hating on projects with the (often unjustified) 1/10, it's almost as if they believe that, if someone rates something they liked under an 8, it's a personal attack!
But that's a conditioning issue designed to divide people, which we'd best not go into.
Haha, what a funny review. I wouldn't have seen the all this if you didn't tell me. But I still quite enjoyed…
Thanks - I'm genuinely glad that my words were able to convince you to give it a go, despite its shortcomings. The fact that you enjoyed it gives hope that others will also give it a try (and hopefully sit through it long enough to appreciate how damn good it actually is).
To be honest: I found this to be very disappointing - the real action took too long to come and was underwhelming when it did, the characters were all shallow with motivations we've seen a million times before, and the MC was stupidly super-human, like an '80s action star, when we were led to believe this was more realistic, like the classic, A Bittersweet Life. I did complete the series and I'd even recommend genre fans to give it a go - since we all like different things - but, for me, this could have been a lot better.
NOTE: there's nothing wrong with OP MCs when he uses his brains to tip the scales and/or the fights are realistic, but this is just a dude strolling - sorry, LIMPING - around, One Punch Man-ing everyone, despite his moderate frame being highly doubtful to generate such power.
Hmm, I just came across this (well, Part 2, actually) and I wondered if it was any good.Your enthusiasm has prompted…
Thanks for clearing that up. It's a little too late now to start it, and last night I was too busy with work stuff, but hopefully I can check it out over the weekend.
Rewatch in 2025. This show kicks serious butt! It gets even better with every rewatch (there's been a few lol).…
Hmm, I just came across this (well, Part 2, actually) and I wondered if it was any good. Your enthusiasm has prompted me to give it a go later this evening.
Hmm, I just noticed that the programme has 18 episodes and 2 series - the second being Sword of Arthdal. Can I safely assume that this 2021, 18-episode series combines BOTH this and the sequel?
This action drama is the definition of a solid watch. It has an interesting story and executes its action sequences…
Where I agree with you about the action, plot and lead actress, I found her friend to be a bit irritating, and I saw nothing special in their engagements.
About half way through this, I thought: Ah... clever. Unfortunately, that moment is all this film really has, and it spends the entire final act reiterating it, so that the audience, the people behind this seem to believe are fucking stupid(!), get how ingenious they are. With flat villains and a ridiculously OP MC, this one - I felt - could never rise above "good", at best, and "middle-of-the-road, at worst. All cast are very competent, the production values are top drawer, but this is a one trick pony and, ultimately, a disappointment, given all the buzz this had when it first came out.
My, aren't you witty?

But, let's agree to not argue.

At least we agreed on the film being sub-par aside from a few good moments.
Your enthusiasm has prompted me to give it a go later this evening.

Look on kisskh(.)do to see what I mean.
I think that one little stupid, pointless scene probably threw off a lot of people.
I'm aware of the sequel, but was there a spin-off?
EDIT: Never mind - I scrolled back up and the link to the series is there.

It wasn't coming up when I entered the fill title, but showed up when I keyed in just, Ninja.
Seriously: more people need to know about that site.
