I love the lighting and cinematography in Iwai Shunji's films. It was a nice watch and i like how it is left open to the viewers interpretation.

I think it does. The mother felt that the grandfather was to blame for her husbands death but she realises he got there in less than an hour so it was meant to be. I think this helps both the grandfather and mother come to terms with his death. I also think that's why she tells the uncle she won't sell the house, despite being told it will collapse, but it could end up outliving their family or grandpa so she will just let fate take it's course and "see who ends up surviving longer" could be interpreting this completely wrong but that's how i saw it.

exactly my point. I put the show off because i thought they would glorify cheating and after watching it they did nothing of the sort. She was apologetic and acknowledged her mistake, it's just that he chose to forgive her. Forgiving someone for cheating ≠ glorification of it. and that friend is a piece of work. She was in a vulnerable state and he took advantage of that

glorify is when you praise something or make it seem like it's good. Not once in this drama did they make it seem like cheating was a good thing. The FL herself said she did something bad and betrayed him.

I think they are both choices but one made the choice not to sleep with his ex and she made the choice to sleep with the friend. Yes she was in a vulnerable state and her friend was in the wrong but she didn't push him away or express her discomfort.

I was watching this but half way through found out about the cheating plot so I put it off for a few months and decided to come back to it. It's not as 'bad' as i thought it was but it was definitely shocking and unnecessary. I still think it's a great drama for most of the drama but it hits the fan by episode 10. I would have dropped it if he wasn't so damn hot

They spend some time apart and then they meet again and smile at eachother which hints they will get back together. It's not happy but it's not sad either, it just leaves it up to the viewer's imagination. You should still give the drama a chance because the early episodes are really nice

I understand her reasoning i just don't understand why she didn't communicate it.

this is the only time I've seen the FL say the famous "We can't be together because we're too different" line and actually mean it. I was expecting a more reasonable explanation for the breakup . I would've preferred if she went on holiday, fixed up then dated him but i guess she had to date him twice to recognise her flaws and understand herself or i misinterpreted it, Idk i wasn't really paying attention to the plot because i was too busy staring at his jawline
