They set it up as a childlike schoolkid with a stalker like infatuation on a woman who was the former friend and crush of her lesbian/bi mother and who is also the love interest of her father. And then proceed to have the older woman have a sexual relationship with the schoolgirl. The daughter of the nan and woman who were both at times in love with her. LOL this is practically a Japanese porn plot without the porn. As I said it wouldn't fly with straight characters.
