It was definitely worth it... glad I didn't let myself be discouraged by some of the toxic commenters... of which…
Reading that whole thing would be an exercise in futility. This story would be lame without the age gap but the fact the age gap is somehow supposed to make it more interesting abd it is so large makes it more ICK than usual. Hence the title of the review. I think your responses are veering into the outrageous if not unhinged.
yes but there is a limit to historical accuracy that is necessary for example we do not show historical dramas with 15yr old actresses playing wives (it would be accurate perhaps but not appropriate). In any case in thus instances the historical accuracy did not demand a 21yr age gap between the leads and that age gap was so visually obvious it just meant the romance (which is central to the show) was just not satisfying or believable or enjoyable on a way that it could of been with a different ML especially seen as we have to buy into this intense romance happening almost on meeting. I just think it was a mistake and it should be tagged as age gap real life at least
Right back in thise days but we are not in those days. But also even if the age gap in the show or the history was 12yrs why would you cast a guy 20 yrs older!!!!! than an FL who looks 10 yrs younger than her age of 28. Worst pairing ever and we are supposed to look at this girl ignore all these handsome guys around her her own age and fall in love at first sight with a complete stranger. Likeif you want us to get on board dont make the stranger look like all their uncles LOL FFS
sorry, I don’t agree with you. I think he was perfectly cast as well as every other character. Seriously.
The reality is looking at him with KTR he just looked way too old he had wrinkles FFS she looked 20 she played an 18yrold after this in 2521. So the issues with the casting are real. He was too old.
I think I'll drop it too (11th ep). I can't digest such overromanticised resistance movements. Also the age gap...…
It made me think about their age e erytine they were onscreen. Also the annoying trope of every Male character having to be in love with the FL was made worse by her being paired with the old guy
I'm on episode 6, it's good so far, but not a masterpiece imo. A masterpiece doesn't contain filler scenes, and…
You have a character like Gu Dongmae and then you write the hot young FL falling for the middle aged guy she barely knows pfft. The romance in this (not for the first time in an otherwise good drama) is just unsatisfying and kinda ruins it
When are they going to add the AGE GAP TAGS to this.
I dont understand a decision to cast ML and FL in a romance drama who are 21 yrs apart in age. They look so weird as acouple shes like a 20 yr old he looks 50
And of course another drana where every male character has to be in love with the FL. (And she chooses the foreign guy old enough to be her uncle ah here!!!!
