IMO you should start your review with how brilliant as usual Jung Ryeo Won was in this she is just one of the most likeable and really skilled actors out there. Your review is so so negative you could turn people who dont delve into the details the way you do off itand i feel a lot more people will like this than not like it. Your review btw is well written and at least you explain everything so well but when a show has such a great character like prosecutor Ma I would start with that. I watched this when i was fairly new to Kdramas and i had never seen any of the leads before so i just remember really enjoying it especially remember being so taken with the FL so i probably forgave a lot.

Unfortunately season 2 not looking good for Vagabond apparently Season 1 ended weird because of some production issues or something it was so disappointing. I also have a dislike of love triangles in general my first first love i agree is annoying as F as is more than friends that was neaely worst than start up as the 2ML really was a great dude who was written totally as a significant other much better than HJP and still ugh but that was made clear going in this show is about a love triangle ony (of course i went in blind)also i will concede my frustratiin wuth start up is heightenedv as 1) i realky was looking forwrd to it love Suzy 2) had liked HJP and Dosan actors in HTCC and WLFKBJ but then i got the yips from the terrible live story, story. Sje should have resolved the triangle earlier ler HJP move on in his life with some gain and learning from the whole Dalmi granny life exp and let go gracefully earkier Dalmi should have really had to absorb all he did for her and thank him and wish him well etc you know enjoy their shared experience but instead she is kind if cold and indifferent. Also Dosan should hve clearly emerged earlier as a Better man but he is always a little off abd unimpressive whether its attacking hjp or crying feeling sorry for himself or being all yeah Dalmi screw the details lets just do it cause we are inspiring and real life is only for losers like HJP. These were all deliberate choices by a writer and producer which got a lot of attention but ultimately took awa from a drama that could have been so much better and had some really great moments. I also watched writers drama pinnochio loved it and watched whike you were sleeoing Suzy was in it and fir 3 episodes she is funny quirjy and oizing chemistry wuth ML and then it falls off a cliff and suddenly all the delightful Suzy moments dry up and she has this subtle but weird attitude shuft to ML cause of no real good reason and a token 2ML thrown in to drag out and make you wonder whats going on its still a good story but Suzy character is totally inconsistent and it doesnt change the plot just makes it all a little less enjoyable definite Start Up paralells there. FYI she also wrote Castaway Diva and by all accounts more mind games with the audiencegoing on there I will not be watching.

Korean women are staggeringly beautiful including Suzy which waz reason i wanted to watch Start Up in 1st place after seeing vagabond. also im not all over the comments compared to some i just spent time on MDL for the first time other day and i came upon this comments section and reading all the pro Start up stuff kicked me into action cause i really did not like it and some of the stuff here like your comment is so patronising I got on my high horse. I enjoyed writing the comments tbh maybe i over did it and some of ny responses were not well thought out etc but I dont take it very seriously and i am loathe to pretend i wasnt being deliberately negative and confrontational as that would be a lie, i was reactive at times but I wont be living here. I did watch it btw and it was so good then bad then worse then really bad then just awfully bad. If a show gets this much reaction from so many people regardless their reasons its a fail IMO. It clearly was a badly written mess the writer ruined what should have been a great show by how she centred so much on HJP and how she wrote that character and forced the love triangle and then dragged out the triangle and wrote an unimpressive whiney self absorbed disingenuous type as the ML. She Lost the plot as it were. All the while Dal Mi character comes across less and less likeable as the show abd its love triangle proceeds. Not the first show ruined by a stupid unneccessary love triangle but the first to be so badly done that so much of the audience saw and called out the same weakness all at the same time. It wasnt clever it waz just bad.......oh all IMO I should say. Also your point re people who dont like it being HJP DM shippers isn't it also true that people who liked and defend it are mainly girls who fancy Dosan actor (the actor name escapes me) or Dalmi Dosan shippers or both. The point being that if it was a better drama it wouldnt have its popularity based on which of the ML actors you like the most, but on the story and storytelling.
