I would say its not grooming but it is totally unrealistic and unsatisfying. Its essentially a university teacher having an affair with a first year student. It wouldnt happen without very negative impact on your career and personal life. (Rightly so)IMO its very inappropriate storyline and a totally ridiculous drama.

What a terrible decision to cast an FL 16yrs younger than the ML. This guy is a great actor and he plays the character so well but why why why put him (a very obvious 40 odd yr old) an aloof cold tough genius with a 23yr old who is his student basically. Oh no he was drawn to her but he didnt act on it. She goes to a hotel with her ex and though she says it meant nothing she certainly looked to be passionate and loving it. Disrgarding both mens feelings. She then feels sorry for herself and ridicules him.
