They are also utterly shocked to discover one of their engineering buddies has decided to change his career path for something more much challenging & exciting, by becoming a local ranger who chases illegal smugglers and loggers. Get ready for plenty of unrestricted sweet hilarity.

Personally, I am pretty positive. PāAof has figuratively stabbed a BL trope voodoo doll so many times they ran out of pins. I donāt see the reason heād torture us with another angsty epi. I rather expect some sort of reckoning for everybody involved. I see storyline parallels like between ep. 5 & 10, then for ep. 11, ep. 6 should be the reference point

How about the meal scene at the eco resort beach camp, for an example of a context in a visual gag, for an instance? Pat is pissing off Wai not just by munching on a veggie (a local squash?) from his food tray, but also giving him a big FU at the same time. Both that veggie and the slur sound the same in Thai. I would have no clue about it whatsoever, if it weren't for some kind commenters explaining it to non Thai-speakers

There is no way to escape this scrutiny for the BBS crew now LOL. With millions of literal eyeballs watching every second of the series and spotting every possible detail that has ever graced a square millimeter of the screenā¦But joking aside, the BBS cast & crew did a fantastic job!
Thatās the āproblemā with some country-specific references. Prob Thai viewers had fun connecting the scene to what they are accustomed to anyway, whereas for foreign viewers it was out of kilter, bordering on second-hand embarrassment, or even on a cringe-fest. Itās the same with brides who arenāt supposed to reveal their dresses to grooms prior to the wedding ceremonies in some countries, whereas it is customary to have pre-nup photo sessions for both in other. Donāt get me started on men cheek-kissing friends and acquaintances in France & Italy that startle some foreign visitors. Hell, they did not expect BBS would have reached every corner of the worldā¦
I don't recall if somebody mentioned it below already, but in the slap BTS, Dissaya is not the villain in that scene, according to p'Aof, and the slap itself is not given out of anger, but rather to put some "sense" into Pran. Interesting! I think p'Aof didn't want to create utterly bad characters that PatPran happen to have in their orbit.
