Wow, Erika's cameos made me believe that she had a lot bigger role. Episode 7 left me unsatisified. The hype this…
While I didn't see the point of including all Toda Erika' cameos in the episodes leading up to episode seven only for it to be a one episode guest spot, I don't think that automatically ruins the drama. Anyone who's watched it until now knows exactly what it is, a very light romantic comedy/medical drama. If you were watching it for one person only then that's unfortunate. :| I for one will continue. One thing I don't like about medical dramas usually is how heavy they are, and this one is a good change. But that's just my opinion. If anything they shouldn't have included the cameos in the first place to give the viewers unfair expectations.
Seeing that 50 Cent is going to be in it, seems like it will be a typical B-action movie. I hope they don't do the typical Asian typecasting and make him play some Chinese guy who's part or the Triad or something. Good to see he's back to work, hope he stars in a drama soon.
I honestly think they sang Shiousai no Memory one time too many.

I'm not quite fluent, just fairly proficient. As for No Con Kid, I am really enjoying it so far. I'm not much of a gamer or anything but I found it to be quite hilarious!
When you break it down it really isn't that long. The average J-drama is about 45 mins long while K-dramas are an hour long. At fifteen mins per episode, about three eps. equals on J-drama episode and four equals one K-drama episode, so 156 divided by 3 is 52, and 156 divided by 4 is 39, so about 32 J-drama episodes and 39 K-drama episodes. From what I know there have been K and J dramas longer than that so the length is nothing to be deterred by. Plus it's so engaging that you won't even care, you'll wish it was longer! Lol I'm very much enjoying it myself so far and it's already a 10 for me.

Oh I do like those dramas and I would recommend them. Guess I didn't get that point across? I mean they're not masterpieces but they are pretty entertaining, just not dramas a "typical" drama fan may like per se, especially No Con Kid which has a lot of video game references so most people may not get it. The only one I didn't like was Tokyo Bandwagon. From this season I also watched Umi no Ue Shinryoujo and I really liked that one as well.
I'm definitely making Japanese my first priority. One of the reasons I want to learn Korean is because the grammer structure and vocabulary is similar to Japanese so I don't have a lot of new things to learn, just some grammar and vocabulary basically. I have heard a lot about the usefulness of Chinese but I need to expose myself to the culture more to really see if I want to learn it. I'm guessing you grew up in a Chinese speaking household?

Oh, it's fine. ^^ I actually like the sound of a French accent, I think it sounds cool. I knew about the government shut down but only from tumblr...I barely watch the news LOL. I actually did recommend a drama to someone who watches anime and he ended up watching it but thought it was okay. It was Yamada-kun to Nananin no Majo and I thought the person would like it since it's based off a manga but oh well. But I'll keep trying. Have you tried to recommend dramas to anyone?

I like Kuroneko, it's a cute drama, and it has a talking cat. :) No Con Kid I think is really awesome but typical drama fangirls wouldn't like it because of lack of ikemen and no romance lol. Tokyo Banwagon was okay, but kind of cheesy so I put it on hold. I plan on watching Legal High eventually, it definitely seems interesting. I watched a movie with hardsubs once and the translation was absolutely terrible...I just ignored the subtitles. I think some subbers start subbing before they are prepare or fully understand the language. And I do recall you saying on the forum that you watch dramas with Chinese subtitles. That's pretty cool since so many dramas are subtitled in Chinese. I might learn Chinese in the future, it does seem like a fascinating language.

Oh yeah, I agree. So far I have watched Umi no Ue Shinryouji, Kuroneko Tokidoki Hanaya-san, No Con Kid and Tokyo Bandwagon from this season. Oh and I will get around to watching Dokushin Kizoku. I still have to watch the first Legal High. I'm not too keen on Ando Lloyd because Zettai Kareshi has ruined robot/human love stories for me. Most things I can go without subs but anything that includes jargon and very specific vocabulary (like medical or legal jargon)can be a challenge so I put on the Japanese subtitles. I can't even stand English subs anymore because I feel like the subbers take too much liberty sometimes and add unnecessary swear words and English slang sometimes, and I get too caught up in noticing errors and poor translations so I just stopped with the English subs lol.
And I feel like Jdramas go a bit under-appreciated here and in the drama fandom in general...
This guy has an impressive list of roles. Guess because he's not ikemen no one cares?

Lol I wouldn't say most of MDL doesn't have good taste in dramas...And I'm not fluent but the majority of the dramas I watch I can watch without the subtitles. I think there are subs for the second one out there somewhere. I only watched the first Trick a while ago but I just decided to watch Yabe Kenzo on a whim and it turned out to be quite funny. And by this season do you mean the season's dramas?

I see you're one of the few people who watched Keibuho Yabe Kenzo. Such an underrated drama. Have you seen the second one? I watched the first episode but I was a little disappointed. They took out the two funniest characters and replaced them with a kid. :/ Oh and hello by the way. You seem to have good taste in dramas.
why doesn't he have a good main role in a drama or a movie?
He should do a drama with his brother lol.

Are you in school? You should try tasking a class. It's always nice to have a teacher to talk to in Japanese and to help you out. Plus there's a chance that there will be Japanese students too.
