The guys in this drama are basically high school age, right? So where are the adults? Wouldn't they get arrested or something for committing all these acts of violence? Why aren't they in school or have jobs? Their entire lives revolve around fighting each other and they're quite literally in gangs and nobody gets in trouble at all?...or maybe I'm thinking too much into it. lol

Eh....I've seen plenty of characters in dramas wear pajamas to bed. I really can't think of any specific examples but as you watch more you will see it? It's not really something I really paid attention to...lol.

Calling people idiots and lambasting women for no apparent reason isn't an opinion about a drama, it is a personal attack. The majority of the users here are women, so if you hate us so much, why even continue to comment on a site that mostly women visit? Freedom of speech =/= no repercussions for being an asshole. You have passed the line of just giving bad reviews when you resort to ad hominem attacks. There is a difference in saying "I didn't like this drama because xyz" and saying "This dramas sucks, so therefore all women suck, and everyone who watches it is an idiot." You said the latter, so that is much more than just giving an opinion on a drama. Whatever happened in your personal life has nothing to do with the drama and certainly not this site. We have all had crap happen to us, but we don't go around trolling the internet and leaving hateful comments. I will leave at this.

I just want to say that it was not you that I was talking about, it was some other person who has clearly stepped over the line. This person has said that he hates women, and that people who like certain dramas are sick, or are idiots. To my knowledge you have said nothing to that extreme, so you're fine! Don't go! lol

A man (Yuji Sakamoto) wrote this. You can dislike the special, but there is no need to use it as grounds for your unjustified hate of women, or to post unrelated and borderline misogynistic comments. He is the first Japanese actor I ever had a crush on. I have watched a lot of his dramas, even from when he was younger. He did a great performance in Summer Snow as a hearing impaired person. A lot of people say he plays the same character in each dramas, but if you actually watch his body of work, and not just the popular ones, you will see that he has some great diversity in his acting! To me there will never be another Hanazawa Rui; he WAS that character. Kim Hyun who? lol

How I wish he actually played Hentai Kamen....LOL

I have only watched one episode but my impression is that this is barely an adaption of the original Japanese drama but a drama that is loosely based on the Japanese one that has some basic similar plot points. The atmosphere and feel of the drama is way different; this one comes off as kind of dark while the Japanese version was very light-hearted and slapstick. In my opinion, other than the basic plot they are two completely different dramas. But I would have to say that this one really didn't leave me amazed, but it isn't terrible enough for me to drop...yet.

If you don't want to ruin the ending of the drama, skip the special. Especially if you're someone who hates ambiguous endings...

I'm split on the ending. In my opinion, Mitsuo and Yuka aren't really suited to be a married couple, so for the most part it was probably the best for them. They both disagreed on having children and not to mention divorcing and getting back together constantly? To me, it seemed like Mitsuo (Eita) tried to warm up to the idea of having children by coaching the kids' baseball team. I don't know who the random child Yuka was playing with in the end. Any way, the drama is called Saikou no Rikon (Rikon=divorce). So I guess we will never truly know if they ended up together or not...

I can't say I am a fan per se, but I have seen him in a few dramas like Rich Man Poor Woman and Mitsu no Aji. He's not really my type looks wise but some of the dramas/movies you mentioned here seem interesting so I will check them out! I believe that Ping Pong movie is on my PTW list.

I watch a ton of Japanese variety. Unfortunately, most aren't subtitled and if they are it's usually Johnny's stuff, particularly Arashi or Gaki no Tsukai lol. I can imagine it would be hard to sub anyway...

2nd episode was much better. I'll continue watching.
