True I was surprised when I found out they're actually 29 & 30. Also, there will be time skip and they'll be shown in their twenties so they'll eventually look their age to people who aren't convinced to see them as high schoolers.

I kinda have a feeling that atleast 3 of these troll accounts belong to the same person. Everytime one of these accounts writes a comment to hate on the show, the other two automatically come forward to support it. One time is a coincidence but multiple times? Something is off. I had to block them one by one to avoid coming across their shitty comments. Your comment suggests that they're still actively hating. Some people get off of hating unnecessarily. They can choose to ignore this show after leaving 1 or 2 snide remarks but no, they keep visiting this page daily and comment about how some generic thai dramas are better than this one over & over again. It's not that serious it's just a small scale show adapted from a novel that's also pretty long and slow but they just can't stop. Makes me think they have some kind of problem.

They're desperate to validate their own feelings. This happens when one doesn't have a life outside social media. They feel rejected in the real world so they try to blow their own egos by engaging in online arguments that no one cares about. It's called projection. I just pity such people who think that continuously hating on a harmless asian show will solve their real ego problems. They need to go outside & touch grass.

Agreed. I think Sheng Wang is the one who'll take the plunge. Jiang Tian is already down bad but at the same time, he's too cautious. He took so much time in letting his guard down, he'll take his sweet time in getting used to the feelings he's developing for Wang especially when they have this unwanted tag of "brothers" Wang on the other hand is more resilient. I think once he realises he's in love with Tian, he'll do whatever he can to make it work 🥺 novel readers said that Wang will have more character development when it comes to not letting go of the person he loves.

This episode showed so much progression between the boys. My heart is so full 😭 Sheng Wang saw the couple kiss and something changed in him immediately. Now he sees Jiang Tian in a different light. He noticed how much Tian cares about him omg I want them to realise their feelings so bad but with just 2 episodes remaining I don't have much hopes. All the romance is gonna happen in the 2nd season which will take ages to be shot & released. My impatient ass can't bear so much waiting 😭

I totally get it. Even the earlier episodes were slice of life yet at no point I felt that it's not delivering. I enjoyed all the 8 episodes so much. Even rewatched all of them. But this one was not upto the mark as I said my expectations went a bit too high hehe

I'm still confused as to what happened? The pace, the sentiments— everything was going so smoothly till the 8th ep. It's okay to make such filler episodes not every episode should contain meaningful things but inserting filler stuff in the 9th ep when we're all on our toes waiting for Wang & Tian to realise their feelings is weird. I'm sorry but this episode felt out of place to me.

The best thing about The On1y One is how emotionally engaging every episode is. This episode didn't do justice to the overall tone of the show. I might've gotten my expectations too high. I haven't read the novel I'm sure it has way more detailings but that was handled in such an amazing manner all throughout the past 8 episodes. I hope this was just one episode slump and ep 10 picks up the pace again we don't have much time left 🥲 I don't want this show to end before the boys even realise their feelings
