That's what I'm planning on doing actually. I can't live with this cliffhanger/incomplete ending. It left a sense of emptiness within me. Need to fill up the void by reading the novel.

It's not about changing classes actually. Tian has abandonment issues since childhood. He finally found his home in Wang so when he suddenly started distancing himself from Tian, it hurt him. He kinda felt angry & betrayed after knowing Shang Wang failed on purpose :( maybe also partly blamed himself

S2 might come faster if you could rate it a bit higher just for the actors' sake since you mentioned you liked the acting. Next season will have more romance so if we want that we gotta let the makers know we appreciate their efforts. You're entitled to your own opinion though. Thought I may as well put it out there :)

Let's just support the show on all streaming sites by rewatching and following the actors. I need s2 desperately cuz this can't be it!

I personally have no complains with any of the episodes but the ending pissed me off. Wanting to have a satisfactory ending has nothing to do with fetishism. If you want to keep the audience hooked you need to end the drama in a dramatic or satisfactory way so that the audience has something to look forward to. An ending should FEEL like an ending and not just another episode that makes it seem like the story is gonna continue next week. That's my complain. Otherwise it was hella good! I cried all the way through :(

This is gonna be a proper rant so if you don't agree with me please don't engage I don't wanna argue I just feel frustrated and I really need to vent.

It feels incomplete! I loved this show with all my heart and soul but my goodness the ending just left me feeling empty.

It's so underwhelming. Even if it was confirmed that season 2 would be coming, this is not the way to end a season. This is not how you should be treating the viewers 😭 I expected a sad ending but not this half assed attempt at making us wait for another season.

They could've chosen to have a faster pace since ep 1 and end it at a confession or everyone finding out or their parents tearing them apart. That's how a season is supposed to end! You want to keep the audience hooked. What's there to look forward to for people who haven't read the novel now?

Invested so much time, so many emotions, rewatched it to support the show, fought people who trashed it only to be left in the middle like that? The least they could do is give a confession and if not that then something that could satisfy us but no— this didn't even feel like an ending. That's not how a series is made. Idc about the "details" in the novel. If they wanted to cover it they could've skipped unnecessary scenes like the abduction of the English teacher. There's a way to adapt a source material. This is not it. Although I'm not gonna change my ratings because I loved this show and the actors totally deserve all the love!

And you don't just go about asking people to hype your show so that the investors give it a green signal and then proceed to give such an ending 😭 Loved every bit of this show because I was hanging by the tiniest thread of hope that it'll all make sense in the end but nothing of that sort happened. The boys barely even talked!! And they expect us to wait around for ages until the 2nd season is announced, shot and released nah fuck this shit I'll be dead by then

Tell them girllll. The queer baiting is done on purpose to keep viewers on toes. It's cute & fun to experiment with. People here will be surprised how many queer elements & hints have been used in the history of global cinema by the makers on purpose without making it canonical so that the audience just keeps on guessing. It's always INTENTIONAL. This art of subtle hinting is used in straight shows as well.

That's also true!! He definitely knows SW was in his space. Also he must've felt SW's breath on his face. I love it how all of us came up with different kinds of observations and I'm loving all of them. Gosh I can't wait to watch the next episode. 5:30 indian standard time. Only 2 hours to go!!

Goa Tian Yang did flinch though. Not consciously but his body did react when Shi Yu let out a yelp. He and Goa Tian Yang both jolted a bit. It's funny watching these two like that lol. And yes you're right about the juxtaposition. But from what I see they also subtly tried to depict a sense of strong trust between the male leads cuz JT smiled watching SW sleep peacefully.

Ok so I'm rewatching ep 11 and I noticed something. When all the boys shared beds at night, a basketball dropped on the floor that made everyone flinch except Shang Wang. Jiang Tian even checked on him but he was fast asleep and then JT just smiled to himself all assured that SW isn't scared anymore. He felt so safe with JT by his side that he slept super soundly with zero fears ♡♡

I'm gonna have to rewatch the entire show over and over again to collect rest of the easter eggs. There are so many subtle moments that keep happening which I fail to notice in my first watch.

So true! If they ever do a bl again it should have a good storyline and character development. The empty and borderline lame storylines that gmmtv has been putting out lately kinda makes it hard for me trust them with another bl. I'm against remakes as well. They did a great job with PP though!

I love this but specially the point where you mention how comforting Shang Wang's obliviousness has been to Jiang Tian. He must feel so exposed now. He has to face everything he had been avoiding.

XiaoWang has been consistent in his efforts to break down XiaoTian's walls even Wang melted into a puddle when he noticed how Tian was trying his best for him despite going through a lot and feeling abandoned in his childhood. But all these feelings that the boys felt were thriving under the safe cover of so called "brotherly love".

Suddenly Shang Wang is slapped with the actuality of his feelings. The cover's blown and now he's in Jiang Tian's personal space, confused but also welcoming of these unknown emotions. He's not as cautious as Jiang Tian which is understandable cuz the latter witnessed something so raw and shocking at such a tender age that left a scar on both his body and his mind.

But in a way it's also good that Shang Wang is the one who's gonna take the plunge. Jiang Tian needs that reassurance and support to accept his true identity.

There's only 1 episode left if I don't get atleast a confession, I'm gonna be heartbroken :(
