2 idiot kings and frustrating drama. That is my conclusion but somehow I ended up watching everything.🤔
The drama started losing me during the competition for the wolf lord. Where ninjas are popping out everywhere killing contestants and the emperor doesn’t seem to mind at all.
I mean if it’s okay to blatantly have people raid the field and kill your opponents why stop at 20-30 ninjas? Just march your entire army in and kill everyone and crown yourself wolf lord? The emperor is totally cool with it.
Skipped four episodes and now just watching and fast forwarding through the rest. All I can say is what a mess.
It’s bad. I had hopes for it, and even forgave the CGI done by day laborers they hired from the Home Depot parking lot, but the writing just doesn’t make sense in so many places.

ML and 2ML are both major simps. The FL doesn’t sleep around, but she constantly makes stupid decisions, despite the fact that we’re constantly told she’s brilliant by everyone in the drama.
Basically it’s really badly written by a writer who is not smart, so is incapable of writing intelligent characters. All they can do is have other characters in the drama say, “wow, so-in-so is so smart!” Meanwhile we watch so-in-so continually does dumb stuff.
is this cheap low budget drama or well made one? and is the stories good? i like the double, rise of ning , etc.
Costumes and some of the sets are very good, CGI is terrible. Overall story is good on a macro level - but the writing is bad, so there are giant plot holes and "smart" characters constantly making stupid decisions.

3 - Rabid fans of actors who are threatened when a drama comes along that is better than the current drama their favorite actor is in. These fans will downvote and bash the competition so their actor's drama is rated higher.

Pretty much exactly this. Though the 2ML also has a love triangle - and actually I think their story is more interesting than the main couple. Unfortunately, he constantly ignores the girl who is pursuing him, and instead pursues the FL.
Why everyone extra woke for this drama? I watched worse things in cdramas, but the comment section was never like…
I think most drama's are written by women for women - so the ML's start of as cartoon villains (over the top bad alpha males) and end up as simps. These writers know the fantasy the women are looking for. This one is written by a guy - so the men are more true to life, and the women audience isn't liking it. Being a guy I am just here for the five beautiful sisters :)
Watched the first 4 episodes and it’s great so far! Only complaint is the dubbing, even though in most cases it sounds like the actors dubbed themselves.
I'm enjoying this so far! Story and cast are good. Production value is hit or miss.: They would have been better off using sock puppets rather than those terrible CGI wolves. But overall, a good one to sit back, don't think too much, and enjoy.
Why do these dramas always have some love-starved loser who’s ridiculously obsessed with the female lead?
Because they are written by women who like the fantasy of having many handsome men chase them and find them desirable. And these men all must be rich and powerful alpha males (CEO's, princes, gods, etc.), who are somehow at the same time very passive and doting when it comes to the FL.
Same reason most Japanese anime and manga (who are mostly written by men) have "nerdy" (otaku) male leads who wind up having "harems" with many beautiful women pursuing them - it's always the childhood best friend, plus a few more women tossed in. They are written by "nerdy" guys who want to fantasize that a lot of hot women will chase them.
