Can someone who has read the novel please spoil me on the ending?

First. Also, this just dropped on YOUKU. Liking it so far, though you can tell it was made 10 years ago.

That was my problem with "First Frost" - the girl fans are all over the ML for being such a green forest, but lord almighty the FL has an entire freight train worth of baggage. That is a giant red stop sign FL.

Why was this postponed for so many years? Did one of the actors have a scandal? Or is the drama just really bad?

2FL is too much of a turn off. She ruins the drama for me. I have to skip all of her scenes.

It's a good fluffy drama. Feels like something from 2018 or 2019.

Yes, love triangle with the FL ex. Eventually she makes up her mind, but it takes awhile.

Most MLs in C-Dramas are simp doormats. At least this one isn't a billionaire CEO simp, like many dramas - because those are really unicorns. People who build and run billion-dollar empires are generally not wussy, spineless simps. Think Trump and Musk. That's the actual personality you will get with this type of rich alpha-male CEO. ..

FL is incapable of communication, which of course causes lots of issues.

She's trying to rack up $200k in student debt, so she can come back in a few years and maybe get the same job she had before - and then work for the next 20 years (given Chinese salaries which average $15-$20k USD annual for a good job) to pay off the debt.

I'm curious about this too. I hate the trope where one of the characters goes off for a number of years, and somehow they don't communicate at all during those years because they were too busy with work or school. Like, you didn't have a free ten seconds at any time over a four-year span to send a single text? Really? Even when you were sitting on the toilet you were too busy with school to send a text?

So, is Landi Li supposed to be ugly in this? Because she is really pretty. Or is it one of those where we see her looking like Landi Li, but everyone else sees someone who looks a lot differently?

You would think after all the attempted assaults she’s suffered through the FL would be a little more leery of the creepy stalker coworker. But no, she invites creepy dude into her house…

It’s decent, but I think Hidden Love and When I Fly Towards You (same author) are both much better.

New drama coming up next week (The Best Thing)! She is so beautiful. Loved her since Perfect and Casual.
