First of all, people are raving about the romance - it doesn't matter whether it is BL or BG, that is what people do when romance aspect is a big part about the storytelling you are praising. Secondly, nobody watches c-drama to satiate any kind of porn fixation. If that is what one is after, there are many, many much more satisfying options out there.

Nah, I doubt - unless they are super-homophobic. There is a lot of flirting but its fun and inoffensive. There is a quite a bit of double entendre in the dialogue but its tastefully done and unless you are very well versed in Chinese poetic allusions, you won't pick up on half of it. I haven't checked but I'd be surprised if its reflected in the subs.
