I know its a parody but honestly, as ,much as I love Jin Yong I always hated this ultimate male fantasy story. But the LCW/LTW version got the spirit of what was intended so spot on it was the only version I was ever able to watch. I may check out one or two episodes of this one just out of curiosity but I doubt I will watch it. I agree that most Jin Yong remakes are very uninspired. Its a pity because the stories are really great. I can also tell you as a Cantonese girl, there is no universe in which the insipid Wei Xiao Bao will ever match the gravitas of Wai Siu Bo....
For some odd reason, the hands down funniest scene in this show for me was when Fu Rong was missing and Prince Su's minion (I forget his name) was looking all over for her. He REPEATEDLY asked everyone along the street "Have you seen a young lady - she is about this high" and he indicates just above waist level for himself. I just rolled around laughing - she is petite but she is not that short. That incompetent fool will never find her with that description...

Hao Chen is an excellent villain, so well developed and written. Duke An is a really lame and sloppily written, nuisance villain. I didn't even put energy into hating him. I think Mingyi in Legend of Xiao Chuo could take the top spot on my villain of the year list.
