Title The Bad Kids Spoiler
Thanks so much for this, saves me a world of trouble of searching online. I never felt that not saving Jingjing…
Wow - everything make much more sense to me if he had deliberately pushed her - that's just murder. I know they probably toned it down for the censors but I actually think this makes him so much more evil, the fact that he did all these terrible things to cover up what wasn't even a crime to begin with. Especially when it is not a foregone conclusion that even if he had tried, he would have been able to save her.

Indeed but also how is not trying to save someone the same as murder ot even a crime in any sense? It is a crime of conscience but not technically a crime. But of course she is his half sister how can he ever look his father in the eye again after admitting he didn't even try to save her. I must say I personally think the real evil person is the second wife. Her daughter was so bratty and uncaring for her brother I don't blame him for not caring enough to save her. And if she had not irrationally sent her rabid bull dog brother to pretty much torture/kill her stepson, many bad things would not have happened. Her death was the only sense of cosmic justice I got out of this otherwie dark drama.

Does this drama have romance or not so much?
Triangle. Sadly, I don't root for either girl. This is to me, not a romance.

Ah... ok - sent you a friend request, hopefully that fixes it. Its right after my ROP review post on my feed, @Skibbies initiated the chat.

Title The Bad Kids Spoiler
It's almost guaranteed that Pupu and Yan Liang both died - pupu died because ZDS did not bring her to the hospital…
Re the voice recorder - I had a more simplistic read on it. He basically distrusted his son and recorded him. When he realized. ZCY discovered the recorder, he felt guilty and ashamed of himself for hurting ZCY like that. That is why he was very cold and dismissive to his wife when he ran into her in the hallway and he resolved to treat his son better going forward. By the time he was dying in the factory ZDS already told his father his son had done bad things and that is why he told him to start over. I don't think he ever really suspected him of being involved in Jingjing's death.

Title The Bad Kids Spoiler
I finished this drama and was confused by the ending but after reading online interpretations by people who read…
Thanks so much for this, saves me a world of trouble of searching online. I never felt that not saving Jingjing is a "crime" worth covering up. He could have just admitted it and said he was so shocked he was paralyzed into inaction. To me it is the most glaring story logic hole but I suppose his father would never forgive him if he admitted that so I can go with it. I also think both other kids are dead. It seems quite clear when Pupu died but Yan Liang is very unclear. On the one hand, I doubt he even made it to the boat but if that were the case, I also fail to see the point of ZCY confronting ZDS by himself on the boat. I swear they are intentionally out to drive me crazy!

I always wonder, why so much of the white make is used, even when it is not to depict sickness. I agree about…
Yeah, I often get Dracula vibes - pasty white foundation and red lip stick.

It was a pointless sacrifice too. The current emperor immediately seized the throne after the battle, which left…
Why indeed?!? Seems the current emperor is a bit of a puppet as well so the power structure seems very unstable.

Yeah, I'm like you, losing interest. The logic is childish to say the least, and the plot is pretty shallow and…
I am enjoying both but maybe this one is just not for you - the Zhuyan arc in the other show was so long and a big yawn to be honest not to mention blatant GOT knock off characters. They both have some minor plot holes but not too bad in the grand scheme of things, much better than most other things out there.

Actually that was my plan, to watch till 50-ies but I didn't feel like stopping there and I am glad I finished. I think if you go to my feed I chatted with @skibbies extensively about the book story. The drama ending is not incompatible with it. I wouldn't mind an alternate end too but its been so long I think its not likely...

What if one of them (more likely Changge) is the missing Emperor Ai? Not sure how much fictionalised history this…
Ah... that would make sense to stash him in a monastry. He hasn't emerged yet then....

LOL - the older I get the more I feel that life is all about expectations.... FZW is one of my favorite FLs but by the time I watched I already knew they character assassinated her. I probably would have felt the same as you did if I watched it with no idea what was gonna happen so I am grateful for all the rant reviews along the way... Chen Kun did encourage fans to send the director a razor blade in the mail if they didn't like how it ended so imagine how the cast feels. Funnily, some of the unhappy reviewers were the ones who pushed me to actually watch it anyway. That spoke volumes to me because for shows that are THAT bad, I tell people to skip it.

Tyvm - there are lots of good shows airing at the moment, this should not be a priority...

Wow thx, can't believe you know that specific! I see what you mean but it could also be a cover story that he has to use all the time as a matter of survival. His backstory is not really detailed, he just says he'd been there 14 years but if he were CP it would be 10 years not that big of a difference... If you rule them both out I guess its gonna be the dude that pours tea in every scene at the sect but never says a word...

Actually if you are at 17-ish the next few episodes already suggest Zhuyan is unlikely to be Ai. Do u remember which episode Changge talks about his upbringing? My friends kept crashing my binge sessions I missed some conversations I will try to re-watch that part.

Check out Love and Destiny. Its by the same director and set in the same universe. I always suspect that is actually Mo Yuan's story but they changed the names etc for copyright reasons. I dropped Eternal Love of Dreams but many people like it.

I don't rule out Changge completely he was always my top suspect because the marquis has close ties to Su Xuan who was then at his sect. The marquis could have brought the CP there regularly for martial arts training and I suspect the sect was subsequently involved in helping Su Xuan hide the CP. I also considered Duan Yan but his trying to get the the marquis in trouble makes no sense. I also still consider Mu Ying a possibility - he seems ambitious and entitled and his backstory is also ambiguous. I will be quite upset if it ends up some unknown person that we never see or if he is dead. That would be lame.

I knew it! I knew my Wen Si Yuan had to be connected to the 7 Yundang Warriors. Omg, why is Ting Wei's character…
You know I realize why this actor didn't make it. He is very good and nuanced but his energy is lethargic not dynamic. I noticed that in both this and the last one.
