Sorry but I don't consider any of those good political dramas. The only decent one I have watched recently was Eternal Brotherhood and that was in the Western fantasy genre. They haven't made a good Chinese political drama in years.

I find her acting very mediocre as well. She is very pretty but sadly she just keeps working the same 5 expressions in every drama. This is the last one of hers I plan to watch this year. Whether she takes one or not, I need a break.😅

They pulled the same twists in The Glory and Kill My Sins. After the first time, I was on to them.😅🤦🏻‍♀️🙄

I suspect she more or less already did. They are just hiding that from us to create "angst".👀🙄

This is just the same editing trick they use to set up a gotcha“twist” that was (over)used in both The Glory and Kill My Sins . It’s very lazy storytelling to fool the viewer by omission. Clearly we are going to get a giant misunderstanding that was planned all along

Not a romance fan at all and I did agree the acting is not good. Just saying, they did try to show her falling in love with him, that was the whole point of the horse scene. I noticed it bc I found it funny which was obviously not its intended effect.

Well... that's kind of inevitable if they are ever to fall in love. Otherwise, their story is pretty much just Shen Zaiye and Meng Zhen2's story... I think he still questions her motives so domesticated is not exactly how I would put it.

Its too bad it was broken up in parts. I envy later viewers who get to watch them back to back.

Well it definitely made an impression of me - the slo mo I am falling in love shots - I was laughing and rolling my eyes at the same time. But yes, I agree the acting was not all that with either of them.
