90% of the movie you won't know why whatever is happening is happening . Then the revelation occurs and you have clarity . Then the plot twist occurs and you have panic.
Kong can't act to save his life. The acting of 99% of the actors in this project look like something out of a high school stage play. Colour grading sucks. The budget was probably non-existent or all spent on that bike. The "bestie" and the "ex" are so infuriating it is funny.
But still...there is something about this drama hahahha. It's like so bad that it's somewhat good.
Oh well, can't wait for Dino to come bombard himself in Rak's life. Fighting, Dino!
Lusi drew Sang Zhi's drawingshttps://twitter.com/wonwoncity/status/1675431887479902208
I dunno where I read this but Lusi did a lot for this drama. She sourced outfits for everyone (because literally only two sets were organised by staff), called in a singer to sing an OST as personal favour, and other stuff I can't recall right now. She really did put a lot into this drama.
Can someone explain to me in cinematic terms if this drama is really a 9.1? (Meaning is the script clever or unique?…
The strength and allure of this drama lies in the simple but relatable sweet love story of a girl who fell in love with her elder brother's best friend and how that loves comes to be reciprocated due to fate. The cinematography is good, the colour grading, soundtrack, and the acting of the actors cast in this story is good.
There is no intricate or multiple-layered plot in this drama, if that is what is considered worthy of a score above 9 then i don't know but to me this story definitely deserves a 9 and above.
Besides that, the local government medias also praised this drama and they are usually such sticklers, so if that says something... please consider.
Finally an editorial graces MDL. I was thinking editorials aren't allowed anymore since they hardly get published now, and one of mine has been waiting unpublished since January.
Anyways, that aside! What a lovely article! I absolutely love your choice of colours! The topic is also as aesthetic as your research and formatting. I believe great cinematography really elevates a drama. Personally I can also be a little more forgiving if the aesthethic of the drama is wonderful. I had a lovely time reading this, a feast for my eyes! <3
I love the drama so far. Although I would like to acknowledge the lack of cohesiveness in some places. For example : They didn't show us the scene where she made an online-boyfriend scenario to save herself. Nor did they show us how the parents found out about the online boyfriend after the brother told her he wouldn't tell the. All this is slightly offputting to me even though I've read the novel — to those who haven't.. I wonder what their experience is like.
Can someone provide a link for the English version of the novel please?
Just note that the first half of the novel has great translation, but the second half (when FL was in uni) has atrocious machine translation . It should be a sin.
I'm not ready to hear any hate comments haters please don't comment or spoiler it up
Unfortunately we can't stop people from sharing their criticism and dislike since this is an open space and everyone is allowed to comment. What we can do is just find like-minded lovers of the novel and drama and just gush with each other in each other's comments rather than fighting with those who don't have the same opinion as us <3
8/10 — not bad.
