Great game-themed show with lots of excitement and epic love story

This is a brilliant show. The gaming-world Pangu is so thoroughly made and it feels like being in a fantasy world as good and interesting as the Harry Potter universe. It’s that good. I loved the degree of imagination that the writer(s) had while creating this story. It comes close to how some of the games I’ve played are constructed. It’s like the writers combine World of Warcraft, Diablo and Avatar. What a wonderful idea.
In game-themed shows we normally get a story that is mainly situated in a historical setting and a FL who meets a prince and falls in love. This is so much better. What I love most in this show is the alternation between RL and VR. It’s kind of like logging - using the interface of Avatar - in and out of a game like “World of Warcraft” or “Diablo” - getting and completing quests/missions, doing battles and receiving rewards like items and skills. We also get a story about “body-swapping” - but at a whole different level than most shows with this theme.
The level of imagination is awesome. The cloaking device was awesome and the scenes so well constructed that I was swept into the story biting my nails in excitement. Brilliant.
Are there any plot holes? Of course there is but none that ruins the show.
I hesitated starting this show because there are 36 episodes and I feared that there would be draggy scenes and a lot of fillers - but there really isn’t. I ended up thinking that we could really use a season two of this.
Only a few things bothered me but one thing that baffles me is since this has a lot of animations and extensive graphics there is still a scene where ML and 2ML are on horsebacks in RL that is so bad that you can see it’s made with a screen and edited as a kind of close up shot (from waist up). How did that get through the quality check?
Character wise:
I loved that all the characters were realistic and no one is only good or bad. As in real life we are all flawed and sometimes take the wrong path. I personally don’t believe that our life is predestined. I believe that we all have the ability to choose which way to go - sometimes we get lost but there is always a way to find the right path again.
A character that did annoy me pretty much from the start was Zhang Yun Er (girl in love with Lin Feng). Her pouting irritated me and made her look (and act) like a spoiled teenager - not a pretty sight. But I have to admit that I changed my view of her and the things that happened to her made her one of the biggest victims in this show. No one should be treated like that. Luckily she came out alright on the other side, finally grown up.
Acting wise:
This show is filled with great actors not only the main couple but all the primary cast. More than one of these actors play two versions of themselves - and they really nail it. Xiao Yan (FL) especially manages to show us which person she is by using body language and micro expressions. What fun she is to watch.
Only thing I didn’t like that much was that despite the really good chemistry between the leads, their kisses seemed a little awkward and a bit forced? Maybe it’s just me but they were little more than pecks on the lips. Maybe they had to be like that since the show is lighthearted and would have to be rated out of the main (young) viewer-group if they were too hot.
Anyway, if you love the gaming theme and are a sucker for love, this is a definite “Must Watch”.

How to redeem yourself after being a jerk

This is a way better season than season 1. The storyline here is that ML who was very abusive toward FL realizes that all he thought back then was only a scheme by mainly 2FL. Sadly it’s too late since FL already left and he is unable to find her.
Character wise we see a ML that has clearly learned from his mistakes even if he still has some of his bad behavior left like grabbing and threats. On the bright side he deals with the people behind the original scheming and makes sure they pay the price.
Acting wise there isn’t anything new to say about that. Not good but not bad either.
Only thing that really annoyed me was the sentence in the end “Hoping that all women find their true love”. If I had been through that, ML would never have been my true love - no matter what he did to redeem himself.
Anyway, if you watched season 1, this season will make up for some of the bad things happening in season 1, so this is actually more than ok to watch.

Mini-show with food for thoughts

This is actually a great mini-show. The storyline revolves around a FL who is stuck in a time-loop. In order to break the loop, she ends up repeating the day a lot of times - each time changing her actions a little.
It’s funny to see how FL spends her time-loops (wooing ML whom she falls in love with in one of the first resets) while the other person (2ML) also stuck in this time-loop uses it in a whole different way.
Things get better and better - and more complicated - as 2ML starts to help FL. I think they try just about every possible storyline available, LOL. Sometimes it’s downright hilarious.
Well, if you like a mini-show that gives you food for thoughts, this is definitely well worth watching.

Another season and you're still in the dark…

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline isn’t exactly new and to be honest I only watched because I saw season 1 and liked it to some extent.
Season 2 is not as good as season 2 and since it ends on a cliffhanger, we must expect a season 3. I’m not sure I’m gonna watch that.
Acting wise this is not a great show but it’s not that bad either. As in season 1 the FL is much too exaggerated and acts more like a spoiled brat than a general.
So, if you watched season 1 you might enjoy this to some extent, but just don’t expect too much.

Crime solving themed mini-show with midiocre acting

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is crime solving and the case is interesting. The short format makes the show feel rushed.
Character wise: FL is a clever woman and ML is shrewd and smart.
Acting wise this is not that good. It affects the overall experience of the show but it doesn’t ruin it. Watch it for the crime solving and not the acting.
Frankly, you won't miss anything if you skip this show.
Anyway, if you like a mini show with crime solving themes and only a viff or romance, this is an ok watch.

Unique and sweet mini-show

This was a short and sweet mini-show. The concept of two strangers who meet on the bus and gradually fall in love is kind of new and refreshing.
FL is such a sweet but rather straightforward in hunting her interest to this hot guy she gets attracted to. ML is so cute and I love the way he cares for FL even when she is not aware, like when she sleeps.
I loved how the two of them slowly got closer and closer until they were comfortable exchanging phone numbers.
Well, if you like something fast and sweet, this is actually worth watching.

Short, sweet and hot.......

This was a short but hilarious mini-show. There is nothing new in terms of storyline but I had a good time watching. Who doesn’t like a funny workplace story with a stunning CEO and a nice employee?
FL is such a sweet but clumsy girl and ML is sizzling hot. What’s not to like?
I loved how the (non-Thai) music like Maroon 5 and Wham was used to set the mood of the scene, especially the swimming pool scene, LOL.
Anyway, if you like something fast, funny and sweet, this is actually worth watching.

Yet another season 2 that's even worse than season 1

This is a continuation from season 1. Sadly the storyline is a little less interesting but the worst part is that the overall quality went downhill, especially the acting part.
If season 2 hadn’t been available to watch right after season 1 I most likely wouldn’t have watched it - and honestly - I wouldn’t have missed anything. Only positive thing is that I actually got the "happy ending" I was hoping for.
Anyway, if you like a short show with a somewhat interesting story - and don’t mind the low quality acting - this is an ok watch.

Brilliant and funny in-game/in-novel costume production

This is a brilliant and funny in-game/in-novel costume production with great actors and a very interesting storyline.

I loved these characters (all 4 leads), each with their own strengths and weaknesses - and very different love stories.

The “symbiosis” was a great twist and the story around it was well constructed, even if there were a few times where it was reversed without explanation (mistakes?). I would also wish that the fact that FL is a doctor was used more in the story. Other than that, this was a great watch so don’t miss out on this one.

Little gem with really good actors, interesting characters, an exciting storyline and no fillers.

This is a great little gem with really good actors, interesting characters, an exciting storyline and no fillers. I liked this strong and sensible FL (a rabbit fairy) and this powerful and cunning ML. Their love story was heartwarming and even if the chemistry wasn’t off the roof, it was good enough for a short and mostly lighthearted story like this.
The short format was fitting and nothing felt rushed, although an open ending always will be somewhat abrupt. I hope there will be a season 2 one day.
So, if you love a good romantic fantasy show - with some twists and turns - this is definitely well worth watching.

More silly than funny game-themed mini-show

This is a not so funny mini-show. The storyline of a young man logging into a game sounded interesting. In the game he gets missions and rewards. That part worked fine even if the text on-screen wasn’t translated in the version I saw. The missions themselves are sometimes interesting but they somehow got boring and I ended up skipping just to finish. It does get more interesting towards the end but not enough to salvage the show for me at least.
I guess the cast had fun shooting the show, but only a fraction of the fun actually comes across the screen since it gets more silly than funny. What must have been a funny script is ruined by exaggerated acting, silly characters and way too rushed format.
Well, if you like these short shows you might find this a little entertaining, but my advice is to find something better.

Odd In-Novel production

This is an odd in-novel costume production with decent actors and a quite new and refreshing storyline. Or at least it would have been if it wasn’t so confusing. The premise of the story is clear enough, but the main leads run around “acting'' different parts of the novel and even die from failing to act good enough - and they do subplots (missions) which makes the story a bit jumpy and incoherent. The bad or missing subs doesn’t help either. Well, kudos for bringing something new.

Good transmigration production with unexpected twist

Despite the bad and sometimes lacking subs in the video I watched, this is a really good transmigration costume production with good actors and a storyline that contains a great twist in the last part. Personally, I didn’t see that coming.

I loved this clever/sweet/resourceful FL who didn’t forget her being a modern woman as we often see in these transmigration stories.

Wonderful fantasy costume production

This is a wonderful fantasy costume production with great actors and a storyline that keeps you engaged in the love story between a human and an immortal spirit. The story is heartwarming, funny, mysterious and a little heart wrenching.
So if you love a mostly lighthearted, good fantasy love story with some twists and turns, this is definitely well worth watching.

The summary should have rather been something like this:
FL is the future immortal spirit Queen but that causes her to be quite lonely. One day she wishes for a friend and meets ML, a human boy. In order to save him, she gives him her spirit Orb, breaking the rules of her race. So, 10 human years later, she goes to find the now grown man - only to find that he is now a fierce spirit hunter and that retrieving the Orb isn’t that simple. To have a chance to retrieve it, she has to join the organization of spirit hunters he is a part of, starting a wonderful love story.

Wonderful and lighthearted love story

This is such a funny and sweet costume production with really good actors and a mostly lighthearted storyline.

But, this really should have been called “The cute guy in the Prince’s mansion” since this ML was the one that was so cute and adorable and the FL who was quite fierce yet considerate (sweet but not cute).

Points for the writers for bringing us a different and enjoyable love story. Definitely well worth watching if you love something light and fluffy.
