X-factor in ancient times
This is such a lighthearted, funny and sweet “A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial”-story mixed with a “X factor”-story and a “Criminal investigation”-story. All set in ancient times. To me, it’s a great combination.I loved this adamant/courageous/sweet FL and powerful/clever/nice ML.
Acting wise this is pretty good and the storyline is interesting with a few twists. Definitely well worth watching.

Touching fantasy costume production
This is a good fantasy costume production with great actors and a storyline that is funny, heartwarming and heart wrenching.I loved this sweet and innocent FL (at least until she changed) and strong/protective ML.
I was rooting for a happy ending, but I guess the ending made more sense, given the circumstances.

Nice little short show
Sadly, this must be one of the more boring comedies I’ve seen - at least the middle part. I have seen the cast before, so I know they are good actors, but the comical part is somehow off - or it cannot decide whether to be a comedy or a romance, so it lands in the middle. As a Danish saying goes, it’s neither bird nor fish.I admit that the last third was pretty good (great twist) so I’m glad I stuck with it and had myself some good laughs every now and then. It also had some nice character developments which is somewhat rare in these short format shows.
Character wise:
FL is a strong but simple (borderline oblivious) woman in search of a certain pill to save her father.
ML is a cunning and calculating thief who wants to rob the place.
Acting wise these are good actors but the directing or storyline lets them down a bit.
Well, if you have some time to burn - and like the cast - this is a nice watch.

Nice short revenge-plot story
This is a nice little revenge-plot story with a fairly simple storyline. The only thing missing is some romance since there is very little - and a couple of kisses would have been nice.Character wise:
FL is a strong woman thirsty for revenge on the family members who are behind her parents and grandmother's deaths. She accidentally ends up entangled with ML.
ML is a nice and clever man who falls in love with FL, so he makes her quest for revenge his goal too.
Acting wise this is pretty good, but I felt zero chemistry between the leads. Perhaps because the romance-arc was so weak compared to the revenge-arc.
Well, if you like a short story with a strong revenge-plot, this is worth watching.

Short and interesting vampire story
This is a short but interesting vampire story. The storyline is simple and easy to follow. Even if it is such a short format, it doesn’t feel rushed.Character wise:
FL is a sweet and musically skilled woman who uses hearing aids. That combination makes her an easy target for some of her classmates.
ML is a 300 years old vampire who is the heir to his clan. Meeting FL triggers an urge to protect her.
Acting wise this is very good. The actors do a great job with their characters within the limited timeframe. Their chemistry is also good.
Well, if you like a nice vampire story with a satisfying ending, this is definitely well worth the watch.

Funny and sweet mini-show
This is a really funny and sweet mini-show. The storyline seems simple, but there is a twist to make it interesting.Character wise:
FL is a peppy and stubborn woman who is betrayed by her BF of 3 years and her sister.
ML is a strong and capable man who approaches FL, having his own agenda.
Acting wise this might not be top notch but I’ve seen several things this couple has made and I am always entertained.
So, if you like a funny and sweet romantic comedy with nice main characters, this is definitely worth watching.

Fantasy mini-show with intersting storyline
This is a really nice mini-show. The storyline is funny, interesting and romantic - and a bit sad too.Character wise:
FL is a peppy princess that is set to inherit the throne since both her brothers - due to a conspiracy - are deemed unsuited to be emperor.
ML is a mysterious man that approaches and marries the FL with his own agenda.
Acting wise this is set in a comical tone so the acting might sometimes be a little exaggerated. I believe that is what the show is aiming for. The main couple are really nice to watch and I appreciate that they are not mainstream actors (overly thin and beautiful/handsome).
Well, if you like something short and funny - with a twist in the end - this is actually worth watching.

Ok mini-show with a diffent storyline than most mini-shows
This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is quite simple but different from a lot of other mini-shows out there. The editing could have been better but that’s to be expected.Character wise:
FL is a sweet and kind young woman who is supposed to marry the Water God.
ML is the Water God and he is gentle and loving. Marrying a human woman is his destiny as well as hers.
Acting wise this is not exactly top shelf but the actors are sweet and try their best within the limited timeframe.
Well, since it is so short - and the main characters sweet and adorable - this is an ok watch.

A nice revenge-ish plot mini-show
This is actually a nice revenge-ish plot mini-show. Even if the revenge-part is easy to overlook, the story is interesting and rather entertaining.Character wise:
FL is the sole survivor of her family and she is out for revenge on the man who caused her parents death.
ML is the cold and fierce son of that man.
Acting wise this is not exactly top notch but it isn’t bad either. The acting is a bit exaggerated to portray a cruel and heartless gangster-like family.
Well, if you like a story of revenge and love, this is actually quite entertaining and a quick watch.

Ok mini-show for a rainy day
This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is interesting enough and the fight scenes are actually surprisingly good for this type of mini-shows. Only problem is that it feels rushed and rather low-budget, like odd editing and why put “Next episode” at the end of each episode when you have episodes that short? The best thing about the show, besides the fight scenes, is the twins. They are quite resourceful and cunning for their age. They could have had a bigger part in the story for it to be more entertaining.
Acting wise this is - except for the two female leads - mediocre. It’s not bad, but it does fit into the low-budget frame.
So, if you have time to spare and want something fast and not too complicated, this is an ok watch.

A small hidden body-swap gem
This is one of these small hidden gems I sometimes stumble upon. The storyline might not be unique or new, but the execution of the story is great. It is kept lighthearted and funny.Character wise we get this Emperor that is somewhat cold and indifferent towards his Empress who is a bit of a troublemaker especially in regards to the managing of the harem where the Emperor's favorite concubine rules. When the Emperor and Empress switch bodies they have to rely on each other to get through their everyday life and the Court affairs.
Acting wise this is pretty good. It takes some skill to portray (believably) a character of the opposite gender and the main actors possess that. There is also development of the main characters which is good, given the limited timeframe.
So, if you love a good body-swap comedy, with lots of funny moments, this is definitely well worth watching.

Nice "second chance" mini-show with a strong love story
This is a really nice mini-show. The storyline might not be new and refreshing since a lot of shows are similar to this, but it is highly entertaining. There are a lot of the usual tropes but they are handled in an interesting and good way.Character wise:
FL is a strong and independent woman - at least after she gets a second chance to live her life. The thing I love most about her is that she doesn’t become weak and vulnerable like so many FLs do when they fall in love. Her love and trust in ML is unwavering.
ML is a warm and dedicated man. They describe him as possessive, but I see him more as decisive in his actions and love towards FL. He is not the usual cold CEO that FL has to thaw.
Acting wise this is actually pretty good with a few exceptions that doesn’t ruin the show in any way.
Well, if you love a fast paced mini-show - with a lot of the normal tropes that’s handled differently than most shows - this is a nice watch.

Lots of kisses and an interesting twist
This is a sweet mini-show. The storyline revolving around a blind perfumer (ML) and a thief (FL) is kind of new and refreshing. The thief is somehow able to make the perfumer see for a short while if she wears a certain perfume and kisses him, LOL. I think this is the show with the most kisses in the shortest amount of time I have ever seen.Character wise there isn’t much depth due to the short format but that doesn’t mean that they are not likable. FL is a badass and not one you can shove around as one pleases - not even MLs father.
Acting wise this isn’t bad but it’s not great either. They do a decent job in the limited amount of time they have.
Well, if you like an interesting mini-show with a twist, this is actually worth watching.

Great gaming movie with a sweet love story
This is such an enjoyable movie. The storyline is interesting and romantic.Character wise:
Both ML (Crown Prince) and 2ML (Prince NIng) are fierce and cunning characters. FL (Crown Princes) is a modern woman who accidentally logs into the VR game “Metaverse Romance” as another player.
Unable to logout she must find her own way to survive until the bug is fixed - setting in motion a string of events and unlocking a hidden mission.
Acting wise this is great, I have seen most of the main cast in other productions and they are rather skilled.
So, if you love a game-themed movie with both excitement and romance, this is definitely well worth watching.

Great game-themed show with lots of excitement and epic love story
This is a brilliant show. The gaming-world Pangu is so thoroughly made and it feels like being in a fantasy world as good and interesting as the Harry Potter universe. It’s that good. I loved the degree of imagination that the writer(s) had while creating this story. It comes close to how some of the games I’ve played are constructed. It’s like the writers combine World of Warcraft, Diablo and Avatar. What a wonderful idea.In game-themed shows we normally get a story that is mainly situated in a historical setting and a FL who meets a prince and falls in love. This is so much better. What I love most in this show is the alternation between RL and VR. It’s kind of like logging - using the interface of Avatar - in and out of a game like “World of Warcraft” or “Diablo” - getting and completing quests/missions, doing battles and receiving rewards like items and skills. We also get a story about “body-swapping” - but at a whole different level than most shows with this theme.
The level of imagination is awesome. The cloaking device was awesome and the scenes so well constructed that I was swept into the story biting my nails in excitement. Brilliant.
Are there any plot holes? Of course there is but none that ruins the show.
I hesitated starting this show because there are 36 episodes and I feared that there would be draggy scenes and a lot of fillers - but there really isn’t. I ended up thinking that we could really use a season two of this.
Only a few things bothered me but one thing that baffles me is since this has a lot of animations and extensive graphics there is still a scene where ML and 2ML are on horsebacks in RL that is so bad that you can see it’s made with a screen and edited as a kind of close up shot (from waist up). How did that get through the quality check?
Character wise:
I loved that all the characters were realistic and no one is only good or bad. As in real life we are all flawed and sometimes take the wrong path. I personally don’t believe that our life is predestined. I believe that we all have the ability to choose which way to go - sometimes we get lost but there is always a way to find the right path again.
A character that did annoy me pretty much from the start was Zhang Yun Er (girl in love with Lin Feng). Her pouting irritated me and made her look (and act) like a spoiled teenager - not a pretty sight. But I have to admit that I changed my view of her and the things that happened to her made her one of the biggest victims in this show. No one should be treated like that. Luckily she came out alright on the other side, finally grown up.
Acting wise:
This show is filled with great actors not only the main couple but all the primary cast. More than one of these actors play two versions of themselves - and they really nail it. Xiao Yan (FL) especially manages to show us which person she is by using body language and micro expressions. What fun she is to watch.
Only thing I didn’t like that much was that despite the really good chemistry between the leads, their kisses seemed a little awkward and a bit forced? Maybe it’s just me but they were little more than pecks on the lips. Maybe they had to be like that since the show is lighthearted and would have to be rated out of the main (young) viewer-group if they were too hot.
Anyway, if you love the gaming theme and are a sucker for love, this is a definite “Must Watch”.
