Nice crime solving mini-show with lots of magic

This is a nice lighthearted mini-show. The storyline is mostly crime solving and the art of magic. In that way it’s quite unique. Sadly the subs were pretty bad so a lot of the dialogue and thereby explanations were nonsensical. Sometimes the scenes made sense even without good subs but often they didn’t and I guess I might have missed a few points along the way. What a pity.
Character wise:
FL is street smart and cunning. A rare kind of FL that I actually like. She is too childish for my linking but her abilities make up for that.
ML is clever and observant. He might be a little stiff but his ability to solve crimes is great.
Acting wise this is a good show. I did find that FL was a bit over the top perky but Chinese shows love to make FL perky and childish in order to be “cute”.
So, if you like crime solving and magic, this is actually worth watching.

Kind of odd mini-show but surprisingly entertaining

This is a kind of odd mini-show but surprisingly entertaining. The storyline of a girl with blood that can cure all diseases is utter nonsense but the premise of this story. You just have to buy that like you do in sci fi and magical themed shows.
I especially love the ending since there is a major twist.
Character wise we have a strong and rich ML who has a strange disease and a FL who has the blood to potentially cure him. When they fall in love it complicates matters.
Acting wise this is perhaps not top shelf but it’s good enough. The chemistry between the leads is great.
So, if you can buy into the story, it is actually worth watching.

Quite entertaining even if there isn't much new about it

What a surprise. After reading comments I had my hopes somewhat crushed but I decided to watch this short show anyway because I like the ML. The storyline isn’t new and nothing out of the ordinary happens yet somehow I was quite entertained.
Character wise there is this clever ML who is a CEO of a big construction company. There is also a FL that is the daughter of a deceased owner of another construction company. Although she is a capable professional she is also affected by her fathers death and the following repercussions.
The two main leads grew up in a non-biological brother/sister relation (family ties) but both of them fell in love with each other at a young age. The death of FLs daughter and misunderstandings at that time causes the two to separate for 3 years. The story begins when FL returns to the country wanting to investigate what happened 3 years earlier.
One of my favorite supporting characters was ML’s assistant and former schoolmate Li Yao. He is a good friend with lots of sensible and constructive advice - and a few more physical interventions, LOL. Who wouldn’t love to have someone like that on your side?
Acting wise this is rather good. There is no cringe acting and everyone does a good job with their character.
So, if you love a romantic drama that is mostly lighthearted, this is well worth watching.

Confusing mini-show with different and intersting storyline

This is an odd but somehow interesting mini-show. The storyline is very confusing and the subbing is even more confusing.
It seems to be about a woman (FL) who is seduced by a snake (ML) in human form. His aim is to impregnate FL. After he successfully does that, different people/entities show up wanting to either protect FL or use FLs “child” (spirit orb/bead) for some special purpose. To make it even more confusing, 2 of the people that show up have the same face as FL and ML. There is an explanation for all that happens, but I didn’t fully understand it.
Acting wise this is rather good for this short format.
So, if you are fluent in Chinese this will properly be quite interesting to watch.

Nice movie with battle between good and evil

This was an ok movie. The storyline of a battle between two dragon-sisters fighting for good and evil isn’t exactly new. The fight scenes and scenery is beautiful (for most parts).
Character wise we get an evil sister helping a man to become emperor and a good sister helping a young man try to fulfill his destiny.
Acting wise this is pretty good but I couldn’t really feel the chemistry between FL (good sister) and ML (Hong Ji) - at least not until the last scene. The chemistry between 2FL (evil sister) and 2ML (King Ning) was way better.
Well, if you like fantasy movies and have an hour or so to waste, this is not a bad watch.

Ok mini-show with an intersting twist

This is an ok mini-show. The storyline is interesting since an active author is introduced making things extra challenging for the FL.
Character wise we have this strong and clever FL who is supposed to complete her mission and set things back on track. ML is also strong and this time there is a twist surrounding his character. It’s actually intriguing. Sadly the short format kind of ruins things a bit because the story lacks explanation and it’s a bit confusing,
Acting wise this is good but not great. Some of the scenes seem created only to showcase the two main actors.
This show by the same leading actors and actress is the one that’s the least interesting.
Anyway, if you have some time to spare and like mini-shows, this is an ok watch.

Hilarious soul-swapping short show

This one had me switching between slapping my knees and drying off my tears of laughter. It was that funny to start with. Later on it had its serious moments as the story deepend. It was sometimes too fast paced - except for the scene where the Prince rides past FL (ep 1 before soul-swapping), which was in slow-motion, LOL, but luckily it’s possible to slow down the pace of the video. The storyline was interesting and the way the two interact and fall in love with each other while helping the other part in (for ML) discovering the truth and (for FL) achieve a lifelong goal is heartwarming.
Character wise:
FL is a kind but headstrong young woman who’s only wish is to marry the Crown Prince.
ML is one of four outstanding assassins who falls into a conspiracy involving the royal family and the most powerful minister.
2ML is a kind and clever Crown Prince who has his own agenda.
FLs father must be the most supportive I’ve seen so far. He is so sweet and fights for what his daughter wants in life, “If there is anything unhappy in your heart, pour all the bitter water to dad” had my heart bleeding.
Acting wise this is pretty good and the way the two main leads play their roles is very, very well. Only thing is that the actress playing FL is very good in portraying a male but as a woman it was a bit lacking, perhaps due to the directing and the fact that she actually wasn’t that feminine to begin with (the role not the actress).
So, if you love a good soul-swapping romantic comedy, this is a “Must Watch”.

Brilliant “Transmigration / Hidden/Secret Identity”-story

This is a brilliant “Transmigration / Hidden/Secret Identity”-story with good actors and a storyline that is well constructed and highly entertaining. Frankly, this is one of the funniest productions I’ve seen in a long time.
Thx to the writers for bringing us something new.
I loved this strong/feisty/flirty/resourceful FL and calm/arrogant/oblivious ML and their quite different love story.
This is definitely a “Must Watch”.

Nice little costume mini-show

This is a nice little costume mini-show. The storyline is quite simple but there are a few twists and turns along the way, making it interesting.
Character wise:
FL is a sweet and gentle Princess that is haunted by the death of her grandfather. Her biggest wish is to find out why and who was behind it.
ML is a fierce and strong Regent that hides a secret not many could imagine.
2ML is the vain and insecure Emperor and brother of FL.
Acting wise this isn’t exactly top shelf but the actors do a good job within the limited timeframe.
So, if you like a short and simple costume drama - with a nice love story - this is worth watching.

Nice and funny mini-show to pass the time

This is a nice and funny mini-show. The storyline about a woman who enters a comic book isn’t exactly new but it is entertaining. It’s lighthearted and sweet but there is also a comical aspect that is on the brink of silliness, especially in the first half. ML can really shake it, LOL (you’ll know when you see it). Luckily it becomes less silly.
Character wise we have this FL who follows a certain graphic novel on her phone and thinks that the ML in that is a real scumbag. After falling asleep she enters the novel and becomes FL who might or might not be in the possession of a treasure map.
ML is a kind and warm man who is forced to seek out the treasure map - by seducing FL - to save his stronghold from starving.
Acting wise this is not top shelf but it’s not bad either. I think everybody does a decent job within the limited time frame.
So, if you like something fast and lighthearted, this is a nice watch.

What a waste of time......

This is an odd mini-show. There are so many things that are unrealistic, that the show ends up being a waste of time.
Spoilers!!!!
One is that FL manages to raise a child for 5 years without ML knowing it is his - and FL doesn’t tell him even if she marries him. Then she suddenly needs 3 mill for an operation for the kid and her love rival cuts her off so he dies. Only one month later she is fine again (as in not grieving) even if she also has a miscarriage with the second child of MLs she is carrying when she loses their first child. And the 2ML moves in and occupies her couch! Don’t get me started with the fact that 2ML somehow becomes a child by carrying FL on his back for a long distance!! By the way he is faking it to get FLs sympathy.
Character wise we get this FL who waits until the very last to tell ML what really happened. A lot of her suffering and both her children could have been saved if she just told the truth from the start. We get this ML who misunderstands FL and treats her like shit to get some kind of revenge. In some ways I understand why he feels the way he does but the way he handles it is immature and abusive. 2FL is a classical gold digger like so many other women that sets their eyes on marrying into a wealthy family.
Acting wise this is definitely not top shelf but it’s not that bad.
Anyway, if you want a “no-brainer” story that has a nice ending, this is ok. Otherwise just find something worth your while.

Crime-solving short show that is actually a hidden gem.

This is actually a hidden gem. The crime-solving storyline is interesting and exciting - somewhat different from most short shows these days. I love how the case gets unraveled and how the investigation brings about some big twists and turns.
Character wise: We get this smart but cute FL who is dead set on marrying ML. ML is very clever and an excellent investigator - and definitely not up for marrying anyone else but FL. There are a few other interesting characters that play huge roles in this story like the general, the emperor and the Queen but the short format sets a limit to the number of characters and individual stories.
Acting wise this is a very good show. The actors are rather skilled. Only thing is that the chemistry between the leads isn’t quite there and I was only certain of ML's love for FL after he told her directly that he was serious about her. It’s not uncommon that the chemistry is lacking in short shows but it’s always a shame because it gets the viewer less committed to the characters.
Anyway, if you love a good crime-solving story with a sprinkle of romance, this is well worth watching.

Funny and entertaining short show

This is a funny and entertaining short show. The storyline is lighthearted and fun as we see how a female writer gets sucked into her own novel while re-writing the ending her female writer-friend originally wrote. I don’t think I have ever seen any storyline with that twist.
Character wise:
FL is a female writer who is tasked to rewrite the ending of a novel because her female friend has writer’s blockage. She is kind and resourceful as she tries to find the way back to reality. In doing so she interacts a lot with ML (who is her husband in the novel) and slowly falls in love with him.
ML is a kind and upright man who cares about the people he is in charge of as Lord of the City. He was always uninterested in his wife until the FL took over her body. The change in personality makes ML fall in love with her.
Acting wise this is very good.
So, if you like a fast paced, romantic comedy - with lots of funny moments - this is definitely well worth watching.

Fast, sweet and romantic mini-show that is worth watching

This is such a sweet and funny mini-show. The storyline isn’t actually new but the show is very entertaining. The short format does have its disadvantages but that shouldn’t keep you from watching this one.
Character wise: FL is capable but somewhat unlucky. I love the way she gets stronger when she gets a second chance to live the last year over again - not wanting to repeat her mistakes. She is also very cute, done right this time.
ML is cool on the outside but sensitive and thoughtful.
For once we get a mom who actually supports her son and let him choose whoever he wants to love. That is what I love most about this mini-show.
Acting wise this is not even near top shelf (frankly some of the actors are pretty bad) but the main actors are sufficiently skilled, cute and likable.
So, if you are in the mood for something fast, sweet and romantic, this is definitely well worth watching.

Comedy that puts the light on mental disease

This is a funny and sweet mini-show. The storyline with a girl that’s “allergic” when touching a man and a boy that’s actually split into two quite different personalities is unique.
I love that this show puts the light on mental disease which is rare in comedy shows. The open ending was also appropriate since it isn’t easy to cure mental diseases.
Sometimes we can create awareness through comedy and deal with issues that are otherwise tabus. This show is able to do so if it gets more attention.
So, if you want to watch a romantic comedy with food for thought, this is well worth watching.
