Yes not all long dramas are bad! I admit most of them had great casts and promising plot but got lost and draggy…
I dropped Golden Rainbow back when I had no patience, but I recently started thinking about giving it another chance.

A couple Chinese dramas to toss in, that are truly amazing and will end up deeply involving you: Story of Yanxi…
I still haven't gotten into Chinese dramas, but I have few on my radar. I want to try them one day.

Especially A Piece of Your mind, the Ratings were literally about 1% in Korea. If the show was on Netflix, I think…
I also enjoy when a melodrama has a thrilling element. Not necessarily action thriller, but psychological suspense.
One of my favourite melodramas of this kind is Bad Guy (2010). It also got cut. But it was due to that the actor had to enlist. It saddens me how the drama was rushed at the end. It was not liked by many, but the drama was everything!

What a list! The ones that I have seen are in my top favorites.
Melodrama is my favorite genre after romance. When they are put together, along with the magic of talented directors (like Ahn Pan Seok), they make masterpieces!
I wish there were more dramas like these. But like you said they are made for 1% of the people.
Thank you for the article!

Person Cha Hwa Yun
As annoying as her character was in My Only One, I loved her acting!

A KBS2 weekend drama starring Jin Ki Joo. Yay!
I recently watched My Only One. It was by the same director and with Lee Jang Woo. The rest of the cast looks good, too. I am excited about this!

This drama is a HIDDEN GEM! I cannot believe that it doesn't get noticed. The story is so interesting and I didn't expect it to be this good!
And the main character is amazing!! I have respect for Jo Seung Woo. I am a new fan!
I didn't pay much attention to the music, but listening to the BGM now is just...wow

And how do we escape from a drama. I think we need a method to properly get over a drama since there is a limited number of walls that we can look at for now. I discovered that it is much more difficult to get over a drama with another in this situation and it has been really hard. My feelings are all over and they cannot escape.

This drama felt like an homage to Princess’ s Man, Jewel in the Crown and Lee San, Wind of the Palace. Beautiful…
I loved the king in Dong Yi. I thought that he acted different from usual kings in historical K-dramas. Thanks, I'll be looking looking forward to watching this drama.

Came here after watching Live Up to Your Name, which was, ironically, released few months after this article was written. LUTYN is my first Kim Nam Gil drama. I know I am late to the party, but it didn't stop me from getting swooned by his great acting. I am looking forward to watching QSD now.

If you want to see an outstanding performance by actress Ha Ji Won :Watch Empress Ki and Hwang Jin Yi.She's also…
Her role in King2Hearts won me over since I didn't like her in Secret Garden. I agree with what you say about her acting being incomprehensible to Westerners, cuz she portrayed sensitive stuff, that a novice watcher won't notice, using her character, and it was brilliant.
