Kinda agree with you.. Honestly.. I'm fine with the first half.. it was interesting and kinda funny.. I could bear the dad's problem.. but, after the second half, it gets boring.. the misunderstandings are too annoying to me.. the FL is immature, and even the ML is immature and unprofessional (IMO) when he was in a difficult situation. After Episode 22, I just couldn't wait for this drama to end 😔

And the way Yan Po Yue acted together with Lu Xiao Tian kinda reminded me of The King's Avatar Ye Xiu with Shao Tian.. since it was the same actors.. LOL

I'm cuurrently reading the novel. And I can't help it but imagining YangYang for every scene.. LOL

Just wanna share some thought..
"If you see me in the next life, please just pass by."

This one sentence ruined my imagination of how the story would end. Because, when I read the wikipedia of the history and the synopsis of this drama, I thought that this story would be a sad story of a woman who was loved by a king. But, this scene and that sentence made me think that this story was a tragedy of a woman who was forced to be a royal consort of a king. It feels like she regret his love entirely, not just things that she lost when she became his concubine. And that's just too sad and tragic. For her and for him.

I wish instead of that sentence, she would say something like "If we meet again in the next life, I wish you are not a king and I am not a court maid". That way, at the very least, what she regret was not his love but the shortcomings of becoming a king's concubine. I thought that even though she was forced to be his woman, at least she was a little bit happy to be loved by him and it was just regretful that he had to place his duty as a king above her. At least, if he was not a king, the things she said she 'lost' wouldn't be too much and his love would be it a little bit worthy to stand against those loses.

After watching that scene, I wish that the ending scene of the afterlife would be able to make up for it. I thought that the afterlife scene would contain something like, he would ask if he should leave or stay and she would ask him to stay. That way at least it would show that if she put anything else aside, she would want to be with him. However, I think since they didn't say it explicitly, the afterlife scenes felt like she was just indulging him of his affection. Just like their entire relationship. And it depressed me a little bit..

For me.. I didn't pay much attention on that note.. As long as, the ML doesn't wear too much lipstick, it's okay.. What scares me more is if ML's lips are too red.. LOL.. on that note, YT is safe..

I love The Rational Life. This is kinda the same kind because of the slow-burn and mature concept. This is a bit more fluff on the romance side. TRL has many office scenes while this drama has aerospace scenes, though it's not as much as TRL. YAMG and TRL are my most favorite Cdramas so far..

I totally agree.. It's a romantic - comedy drama. Not an e-sport drama. And the leads are mature professional people with mature characters.

I think I'm in drama withdrawal.. All I'm doing for the past weeks is re-watching YAMG.. sometimes from the 1st ep sometimes from the 21st ep.. LOL
Other than that, I was just finishing Hospital Playlist. Now that it ended, I don't have anything else other than YAMG 😥

No love triangle and unnecessary misunderstanding, I'd say You Are My Hero and The Rational Life. I really like The Rational Life, but it's not as fluffy/cute/adorable as YAMG. However, in terms of slow-burn and mature drama, it's like YAMG, and also very well-written..

I'm not really sure either.. But, what I get is like this.. Jing Jing was very mischievous when they played the game and claimed YT as her boyfriend. He sent that message, but after a thought felt that it was too intimate somehow, that's why he deleted.. maybe he felt that by sending the message, he was teasing her or gently scolding her and then thought that it was inappropriate..
It's just my understanding though..

Awww... thank you so much for the link. So, they edited them after shooting each leads.. really appreciate the editing team for this drama, they've worked hard to produce realistic scenes. LOL

I want to respond about your comment.. I kinda agree that maybe he liked her a little bit, but I think here's some of the reasons too (I copied from my earlier comment, LOL)
ONE: because she posted the ads in her weibo about the air purifier. The air purifier quickly got sold out. They said that it'd be so expensive to get a celebrity to post about the product. So, it's something like "repayment" so to speak..
TWO: I think he was kinda feeling guilty to her. Just before they met again, he got the text from his friends about his rejection to her in high school. And she got bad comments from people when the post about his rejection became viral. He even offered his clarification about the post because he felt guilty.
THREE: He was really touched because she said that she trusted him. They weren't close friends in high school and they lost contact with each other. However, it was easy for her to say that she trusted him. I think it moved him then.
FOUR: He didn't mind to help her because he had free time. Though he was shocked when he found out about the "work hours from 9AM to 9PM". But, maybe because he didn't have any plans, he didn't mind to help her.

Just my thoughts, though. I think the feeling 'like her' can be counted in my third point..

I know, right? And I love dolls, so I just can't help but aww-ing when they appeared.. LOL

I always noticed the rabbit dolls, because JJ always held them when she was video-calling YT.
But after re-watching for gazillion times, I suddenly saw that shot when they showed the rabbit dolls was left on the couch while JJ and YT was cuddling on the bed.. LOL

Just wanna share something..
I really like it that JJ always had 'Yu Tu' dolls beside her whenever she was in a hotel room. There were all kind of rabbit dolls with her, a small one and a big one. Then, when YT came to visit her in episode 30, that rabbit doll were left on the chair instead of on the bed beside her. Because the real Yu Tu was there with her. The 'Yu Tu' doll got replaced. LOL
