I think it's not about beauty though.. I don't know who you meant with "second female lead".. if you meant YT's ex, then the viewers steaming is definitely not because of "beauty". Because YT's ex is also very beautiful. I think the concept of FL and SFL.. It's not because it's Dilreba (who is so beautiful) that makes people forgive her "neediness".. But because she is "THE Female Lead".. I think if Dilreba is the "Second female lead" and she did that, people maybe annoyed too.. On contrary, if the FL is someone else and she did that, people still forgive her..
The point is.. people (incl. me) usually tolerate FL's actions more than SFL's actions, regardless of how they look like..

Totally agree.. for me dramas like YAMG and LO2O can't be counted as E-sport drama.. because the gaming part is only like 10% of the drama.. It's not the focus at all.. I think dramas that can be counted as E-sport drama is like The King's Avatar, Go Go Squid, Gank Yuor Heart.. the dramas that tell story about professional e-sport players and their career..

Sameee... LOL.. That's the highlight of the videocall scene.. And to be able to joke about that only after a few weeks, that showed that he's already planning for the rest of their lives..

Actually IMO, JJ lied to get him to come over to her house. Then, they meet again. I think he was surprised to see her, not "awed by her beauty". Because if it's only her beauty, he would see her advertisements whenever he walked pass it.. But, he didn't. He actually started to see her pictures on the streets because he met her again and got to know each other.. The scenes when he walked pas her ads is the highlight of the difference before/after he met her again.

About the reason he helped her.. Here's my opinion..
ONE: because she posted the ads in her weibo about the air purifier. The air purifier quickly got sold out. They said that it'd be so expensive to get a celebrity to post about the product. So, it's something like "repayment" so to speak..
TWO: I think he was kinda feeling guilty to her. Just before they met again, he got the text from his friends about his rejection to her in high school. And she got bad comments from people when the post about his rejection became viral. He even offered his clarification about the post because he felt guilty.
THREE: He was really touched because she said that she trusted him. Like you said, they weren't close friends in high school and they lost contact with each other. However, it was easy for her to say that she trusted him. I think it moved him then.
FOUR: He didn't mind to help her because he had free time. Though he was shocked when he found out about the "work hours from 9AM to 9PM". But, maybe he didn't have any plans, he didn't mind to help her.
Something that bothered me a little actually because she kept asking him to bring her breakfast.. That part is a little bit too much. Because, honestly if he just made time to teach her, it wasn't really too big deal. But, he actually had to spend his money to buy her breakfast, I think that it's a little bit too much..

Totally agree with you. It's slow because it's realistic. They actually took their time to fall in love with each other and they need time to make decision and to adjust their lives around each other..
Btw, if you want something mature, realistic and also don't mind that it's slowburn, you should try The Rational Life. The romance there is not as fluffy/cute/adorable as YAMG.. But the romance is not cliche and not big misunderstanding between the leads..

I agree with you.. Hence, I think it was necessary for him to reject her in Ep15.. I think he already loved her in this episode but he wasn't ready and thought he wasn't good enough for her.. and he wasn't sure about his future when he decided to get back to aerospace. Because, money-wise and time-wise, he thought that he couldn't give her anything.
However, after he got the the advices from his professor and also Guan Zhai, he realized that he thought wrongly. And then he started to regret his decision. When he decided to pursue her, I think he already knew that "This is the woman that I'll be spending the rest of life with".. Hence, it was so easy for him to talk/joke about bride-price, future generation a few weeks after they got together.. He knew that the moment they got together, they would stay together for the rest of their lives.

I agree with you.. To actually be able to enjoy this drama, one has to be patience because the leads actually took their time to get together. That's why we say that this is slowburn romance drama. And honestly, realistically how many times can a love-at-first-sight happen in real life? Romance or love, I think, has to be built gradually over time.. But, that's just my opinion..

I know right? I mean, if it's intentional, I can't imagine how many times they would've shot that scene to make the bear falling down the right way.. LOL..

What I've been sooooo curious about.. in ep 22.. when QJJ was texting Peipei and YT after she just got home.. she was lying down on the bed.. the big teddy bear was falling down on her.. what I want to know is whether the bear falling down is intentional or not? Because, that position and her reaction to the bear is just too cute.. >•<

Watching episode 21-32 like daily dose of sweetness and cuteness.. just need it to increase the immune 😆🤭

If you're in the mood for slowburn and mature type of romance, I'd recommend The Rational Life. But it's not as cute/sweet/adorable/fluff as YAMG.
If you want something heartwarming, I'd go with Reply 1988 or Hospital Playlist.
If you want fluffy, you can try Love Scenery.
If you want something exciting, you can try You Are My Hero or Prison Playbook.

Yes I totally agree.. He must have found out that JJ hadn't known about the penta-kills only after Zhai Liang told him that JJ never played the game after the competition.. His emotion in that scene also made me teared up.. especially when he clarified to Zhai Liang, "I made her upset. she's not a bad person".. that's just so sad..

Maybe some would disagree.. I know that JJ must have been very devastated being rejected for the second time.. But, YT's emotion here that made chocked up actually.. He's the one who decided to "let go" so to speak.. because, he's the one who feels "not good enough", he's the "reach-er" in this relationship.. and that's just sad for me..
