I wanted to reply this but I havent watched ep 15 yet, so I cant give you the comparison. But this is what I struggle…
exactly right?!!! its just financial difficulty and some relative ended in hospital. Which family doesn't have that problem. Even his father sent him money while he was in HK but he refuses. I always called this phase JQX's self-inflicted depression.
But when he redeemed himself later on, I guess its kinda okay. Haha I feel like I'm part of the Qunshan squad, we all love YT and we hate it when people hurts her, including JQX. But in the end we respect YT decision of being with JQX.
Queetion to novel readers: how does the book justify what happened at the end of Episode 15? Struggling to understand…
I wanted to reply this but I havent watched ep 15 yet, so I cant give you the comparison. But this is what I struggle while reading the book. No strong justification given in the novel, the fact that he just left divided readers into two group. Those who sympathize, and those who just cant comprehend it. Me, belong to the latter group.
JQX, very much like Wen Yifan (TFF reference) believe that YT/Sang Yan deserved all the best things in the world. They deserves the sun, the moon, the stars.. everything except themselves. JQX believes he is not worthy enough to be with YT. He needs to figure himself out first, accomplish something and if by that time YT still willing to be with him, it is his greatest dream. He is content with YT being his white moonlight, the dream that he will forever cherished, instead of his reality.
I don't share JQX sentiment. I believe if you love someone deep enough, you will want to be in each other's life, not giving up on the relationship. Long distance is fine, its early 2000 fgs. Hong Kong and China is not world apart. Heck they are even in the same time zone (is it? don't bother myself to check). So when they got back together later on, I am a bit resentful because I think JQX deserved some punishment. YT love him too much to just forgive him. hmmph.
haven’t watched it yet but imma let your comment sink in my brain so I can appreciate ep 15 later
dont worry about it. what I mean is your perspective is good, so when I watched it later, I will remember to watch this not only from my perspective but from yours as well.
late to the party but ep 12. JQX knitting?? god this is so contradictory. why isn’t her mom trying to separate him from knitting then? isn’t knitting 6 scarves takes time, time that according to his mom. should be focused on math? 😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️

now our hopes lies in Chasing Jade and Overdo. I hope they did ZLH justice there.
