watching this for swl and this is my first Ao Ruipeng drama. currently at ep 2, lol what a cute character.

ah is it? for someone who is about to be abandoned by her mother and adapting to father who has a new family, I think her attitude is how she was supposed to react.. grasping for the only family connection she has left, in this case, her "brother".

Plus she also has a growth arc in the novel. pretty impressive as she will work with space agency or something. Maybe try not to imagine Esther Yu while reading it LOL (not my fav casting either, but oh well). Miao Jing also has her childish moment, lol. anyway its just my opinion. Feel free to continue or not, its up to you 😉

hope you enjoy it. my heart aches so much for Jin Chao, the ML 😭 The FL may not be as assertive as Miao Jing, but the story is good nonetheless.. ah you make me want to read it again! 😂

I was watching some fans bts video (of swl holding umbrella, carrying zjy on his back, holding her purse, etc) on tiktok and wondering if the drama will white washed the leads character. well they are not exactly bunch of greenflags but that’s what makes them so interesting. Ah i hope not. I really wanna see they stick to the characters in the novel.

finally after 50 days since airing, I completed this drama. god its not easy to be a cdrama fan when you are working full time 😭😭 as a fan of swl, this is a must watch. he looks as dashing as ever, and BSE, also cute as a button! good that they didn’t follow her character in the novel, that would’ve been a torture to watch. Lovee the side stories. a decent watch 👏🏻

yeah i agree, not just this drama but the whole industry has become superficially thin, sometimes I wonder do they even eat on a daily basis.

How about the emperor in The Long Ballad? i find him very wise and the best emperor I've watched so far. Dang they should make an award category for the best emperor

SWL defo wayyy better here than EL. I just can't with the costume and his hair in EL. I have to say Jiang Xu is probably his most handsome character.
