Okay, XQ's flaw is obvious. She's indecisive, but to frank, her risk, if their relationship not work out, is way bigger than SY. SY's uncle and aunt aren't gonna disown him if they dated.
SY & XQ's conversation in bathroom is the most important scene of ep 20, it's the conclusion for the arc of SY & XQ knowing each other again after 10 years. And in this scene one of SY's flaw showed up again.
In ep 10, after hearing XQ's doubt about his love for her, SY refused to explain anything to her. The next day, he came to her house, instead of explaining anything to her, he asked her to make a decision: to be with him and risking being disowned by her family. Of course, XQ couldn't give him an answer because all the mess in ep 10 was still there, unsolved. To XQ, her family was still just being 'overprotective', nothing terrible there.
They haven't met in 10 years, it's too quick to make a decision like that without really knowing each other again. So we have this arc. However, in the bathroom scene, when XQ wanted to know about his life for the past 10 years, SY once again refused to elaborate and instead once again asked her to make the decision again. Have they even met each other regularly for even a month yet?
Between the two of them, SY was the one who know the reality of their situation more, but he insisted keeping XQ at arm length and expect her to take a lift of faith to be with him. Their situation requires both of them to grow, not only the XQ here. They came back at the same spot in ep 10 because both didn't grow enough yet.
I see some viewers complain about XQ not defending SY about MYC indirectly calling SY trash. 'Indirect' is the key word here. Only the three of them understand the context, if either SY or XQ being defensive about that comment, the 'indirect' would become 'direct' in front of SY's teammate. Anyway, the most important thing is action and XQ followed SY, not MYC.
It's sad to see we're so close to the finish line already, but some viewers start to lose some patient again.
Okay who is correct about the argument in ep20 ??????/Song yan or Xu Qin
I applaud the writers for this argument. Both SY & XQ are consistent with their philosophy from the beginning. I kind of lean more on XQ, but she was a bit too blunt.
Basically she was afraid of losing her "family" again, especially since she was adopted at 10. It has not been…
You said it sounds like when you become an adult with career you wouldn't love or need your family anymore. The FL just need to realize that if your family really love you, they wouldn't stop loving you.
The two dudes who are biggest rivals, can't keep a straight face and I think what's his face blows his lines at…
I bet because everyone must acts serious in that scene beside WYL, LOL 🤣 Finally, a BTS with YY & WCT in it, hopping for more when the SY & XQ are together.
