This is my take as well, I think both SY & XQ know about MYC's secret feeling. MYC didn't need to voice it for XQ to shut that sh!t down.

I argue even without the career part, they need more eps than normal romance because this is a second chance love, there are many work need to be done than usual. Normally, two strangers just need to meet, get to know each other and fall in love and in some case overcome some things to be together, and that's it. But with second chance you need to establish a lot more. We need to know how they meet the first time, how their past relationship failed, how their life have been from that breakup, how their personality changed since then, how relevant is the past obstacles in their current situation. We needs to know all that, but at that point the ML & FL's relationship is properly colder between two absolute strangers in a normal romance, so you need to have the leads go through a ice breaking phase. I argue the drama has done all of these from from ep 1 - 11. After that the romance will progress like a normal romance again. So with second chance romance, you essentially need to do a romance twice.

What's prevent people from feeling attraction for their family is Westermarck effect. It's an imprinting on children from birth to about six year-olds. Two strangers if they was raised from birth together will be imprinted with this and is like true siblings. However, if two siblings who weren't raised together, they would be like any strangers. I think when his parent adopted XQ, he is too old already, so to him, she is just a childhood friend.

Really, I didn't catch the the name, so SY & JY likely is related then. Grass is always greener on the other side. With all the money, SY's mom isn't gonna feel happy either.

The drama has two plots with equal important, the career and the romance. I find both entertaining, but for someone only care about romance they might find it slow.

At some point, it would feel like they overdo the trauma, so I'm glad they cut SY's father being abusive out.

Yup, I have thought that SY & JV might be half brothers, but today eps debunked that theory. They're only step brothers, and yeah, she abandon her kid to take care of someone else's. Horrible mother.

I think she just happy that their plan work, her foster parents don't consider JV a suitable candidate to marry her anymore.

She just knows how to get into XQ's head. Like how she forced her to change her family name to Meng.

There is a theory is that JV is SY's half brother which means JV's biological mother is also SY's biological mother. The theory might not be true now.

They deliberately hide JY's father, so the theory of JY being SY's half brother might be true. But we also see SY's mother with a spoiled boy who is about the same age of SY so unless SY's mother had the affair and bore JY for along time, JY might not be SY's half brother.

The actresses doesn't look alike, but they add that bit in dialogue. SY;s cousin said that she looks like XQ.

Two questions, so does anyone know the differences in position between SY and JY/SJ? And the name of SY's dog, is it the same as the Meng family? 😂

Yup, I think the same too. Just weird that they has to add the bit about her looking like XQ though, it would be better if she isn't.
