The girl who gets pregnant does so at age 16 (not 17) and events of this drama happen (initially) 20 years later…
You claim to hate age gaps, yet you seemed to enjoy "I Can Hear Your Voice" and "Encounter". If you do hate age gap dramas, then why would you even spend 1 minute of your life with this drama considering how clearly the synopsis was about the age gap? Why spend time researching this show and watching clips? Why spend even more time typing comments about this show. Just find some other show that is more to your taste and watch it. Spending so much time obsessing about a show you're allegedly not interested in seems a bit weird to me. Also, you seem to know a lot about porn movie plots. Do you watch a lot?
The girl who gets pregnant does so at age 16 (not 17) and events of this drama happen (initially) 20 years later…
I'm going to call you a hypocrite now: You've criticised the age gap, even though I can see age gap dramas in your list that you've rated highly. You've used the word "porno" even though you've got dramas in your list that contains nudity, something that this drama doesn't contain. I'm starting to think your actual problem with the dramas is that it involves a same sex couple.
The girl who gets pregnant does so at age 16 (not 17) and events of this drama happen (initially) 20 years later…
Why are you obsessing over this drama? If the plot doesn't interest you, find something else to watch. Why are you spending time "researching" a show you're not interested in? Just move on. And to help you move on, I'm going to correct more of your mistakes. 1.) The mother of the younger woman did have a crush on the older woman TWENTY years ago when they were both in high school, and they haven't seen each other or communicated for 20 years. It is certainly not accurate to describe her as her crush today. 2.) The younger woman's mother is at most bisexual, as she's currently engaged to a man. It is inaccurate to describe her as a lesbian. 3.) The younger woman did pursue the older woman, but she did NOT stalk her, as stalking requires secrecy. She was very upfront and open with her feelings, the OPPOSITE of what a stalker would do. 4.) A person who is 20 years old is NOT a child. If you think they are, then you have some serious problems. 5.) You're use of the word "porno" implies nudity and/or explicit sexual content. There is neither in this drama. I think you need to watch some more porn to help you differentiate it from a mainstream drama. 6.) The age gap was central to the entire plot (and yes, the plot appealed to me and millions of other viewers). Although it was nothing to the younger woman, the age gap was a very big issue for the older woman, who repeatedly pushed the younger woman away (mostly) because of the age gap. But happily, love won in the end. 7.) When their sexual relationship started, the younger woman was in university and was aged TWENTY-TWO. She was NOT a schoolgirl as you claim.
Almost every single thing you wrote is factually wrong, but again why are you obsessing over this drama. If the plot doesn't interest you, go watch something else.
The girl who gets pregnant does so at age 16 (not 17) and events of this drama happen (initially) 20 years later…
The actress playing the role was 22, and the character she played is 20. If you'd watch the drama, you would know this, and if you haven't watched the drama, then on what basis are you arguing?
girl has crush on female classmate but gets rejected girl gets pregnant at 17 17 years later girls daughter pursues…
The girl who gets pregnant does so at age 16 (not 17) and events of this drama happen (initially) 20 years later (not 17). The young women clearly pursues the older woman, but I don't know how you've concluded she "seduces" her. What does the word "seduce" mean in your mind? Also, what exactly is "sleazy" about this drama? It contains no nudity, no vulgar language, no infidelity, no violence. Again, what does the word "sleazy" mean to you? And how have you concluded this drama is written for men? If it contained explicit nudity, you'd probably have a point, but I genuinely cannot understand how you've reached that conclusion. So, what exactly is your problem with the drama? It is a beautiful love story between two people who face considerable family and societal opposition to their love. The fact that their love triumphed over all these challenges made it one of the most enjoyable dramas I've ever watched in my life. But if its not for you, then just watch something else.
Of Anueng's biological parents, only Chet was homophobic. He was aggressively against the relationship because…
I think I understand your question now. The word "denounce" is fine for your question. My suspicion is the author just didn't think about this issue. I think your possible reason #1 is correct - although I'd word it "the writer overlooked the point that Chet almost certainly would have known that Nueng had a sister in a same-sex relationship". Although other explanations are also possible. For example, even though Chet knew about Sam and Mon, he was only focused on "protecting" his daughter from the "perversion" of a same sex relationship. So, his homophobia was driving him to try anything to "save" Anueng, including trying to get Nueng to side with him, to "correct" Anueng's behaviour. If I remember correctly, at this point, Chet didn't know that Nueng was bisexual (not even Sam knew this), so he may have even thought she had the same opinion about same sex relationships as he did. And he certainly didn't know that Nueng and Anueng were attracted to each other. If he knew that, he would never have tried to get Nueng to side with him.
I liked this one quite a lot more than GAP or Season 1, even though I really didn't get the logic why an adult…
Of Anueng's biological parents, only Chet was homophobic. He was aggressively against the relationship because in his eyes, a lesbian relationship is a perversion. Neither the drama nor the novel specifies if Chet knew about Sam and Mon's relationship, but I would suspect he did and I also suspect that he would have strongly disapproved, but would have kept that opinion to himself to avoid angering his soon to be in-laws. Phiangfa is bisexual, so her objection to the relationship is not due to its lesbian nature. Rather, her objections are several. The age gap bothers her, as does the fact that Nueng was engaged to Anueng's biological father. Phiangfa is also angry that (in her eyes) Nueng betrayed her by maintaining a sexual relationship with Anueng's while being her legal guardian (see note below). But most of all, Phiangfa is extremely jealous of Nueng because Anueng has clearly chosen Nueng over her. Phiangfa believes the only way she can have a relationship with her daughter is if she can somehow keep her away from Nueng.
Note: Because the drama (Anueng: 20, Nueng: 36) aged Anueng by two years compared to the novel (Anueng: 18, Nueng: 34), this part of the story made less sense. In Thailand, an unmarried person under the age of 20 is still a minor. So, when someone is given legal guardianship over a minor, it is a big deal, as it was in the novel. But in the drama, Anueng is already a 20 year old adult when she starts her relationship with Nueng. So the impact of Nueng breaking the trust of Anueng's family by being her legal guardian and sexual partner is lost, or at least greatly diminished.
My two favourite GLs are "Blank" and "Reverse 4 You". Just be aware that "Blank" has a big age gap which bothers…
Just go by my scoring regarding which GLs I thought were the better ones. There are also plenty of YouTube videos with titles like "Best Lesbian Romance Movies" or "Best Thai GL dramas". Obviously these videos just give the opinion of the content creator, but it can at least introduce you to some new titles. Another option is to check out the GL Dramas Lovers Club https://kisskh.at/discussions/general-asia-forum/91593-gl-drama-lovers-club Scroll down to "Studios with Regular GL Productions" for a list / links of some GL content freely available on YouTube. Most of those dramas are very low budget, but they are cute, fun and easy to watch.
recommend gls with good plotsđź« ( no cheating, toxic & revenge plot plz )
My two favourite GLs are "Blank" and "Reverse 4 You". Just be aware that "Blank" has a big age gap which bothers some viewers, but I loved it (and so did 4 million other people based on YouTube views). It is literally my favourite drama of 2024. If you look in my list, every title is GL, so it might help you to find some shows to watch if you're looking for GL content. There are also some Vietnamese and Cambodian GL shows on YouTube that can't be added to MDL, because (for some reason) MDL doesn't accept shows from those two countries. The quality is similar to the low budget Thai GLS like those from H'our and JPL studios. Once you watch some GL dramas on YouTube, the almighty algorithm will feed you more.
The marriage didn't drag in the novel. It didn't take long and it wasn't quick either. I liked the angst and I…
LOL - I just read and replied to your comment after the most recent episode. You most definitely did not stay calm :P But I hate Kuea too, so its all good.
Does the younger girl stop being constantly whiny? Im into ep 2 and i cant stand how she never stops being whiny,…
She does stop the whining, especially when she gets into university. If you read the novel, the character is exactly like that, so Yoko is playing the character perfectly. But she most definitely doesn't act like an 8 year old later in the drama (wink). If it bothers you too much, just drop it and watch something else. But for me, this has been easily my favourite drama of 2024.
gl genre doesn’t deserve this shitty problematic series, sorry. grooming and other thing aside how is this not…
What does it even mean to "groom" another adult? I assume you understand that a 20 year old woman is an adult right? And how can the older adult woman (Nueng) be "grooming" the younger adult woman (Anueng), when it is Anueng aggressively pursuing Nueng, much to Nueng's considerable discomfort? Do you even understand what the word "grooming" means, because I don't think you do? Obviously there are very awkward social dynamics in the show - that is central to the entire plot, which deals with the challenges the characters faces because of their age gap and prior history. For me, this is a story about a love that succeeds only after overcoming some enormous challenges. No drama in 2024 has given me more joy than this one, but if its not for you, then just drop it and watch something else.
Also, you seem to know a lot about porn movie plots. Do you watch a lot?

As of right now, this is my second favourite GL of all time, behind "Blank".
