LOL...😂 problem is, I have to work for a living. Otherwise, would be perfectly happy watching dramas all day and helping fellow drama watchers with translations cos I get that the wait for subtitles must be frustrating!

Ep 23:
Prof Zhuang: You've finished speaking?

Prof Zhuang: You just said you like me? But we've never even spoken before.

Wannabe influencer: *nods

Prof Zhuang: How can that even count as like/love? You've mistaken your own feelings. Please leave

Then later Prof Zhuang recalls the line about pain after parting being the best standard for judging if you are in love and thinks of MeiRen :)

I think you may be referring to Lu Jian, the rival for the professor?
To be clear, my spoiler above is about the other (?) second male lead, Jin Xi (Mei Ren's boss and the guy who is pursuing Tian Tian) :)

He started off on a lie as he wanted to pursue Tian Tian. When she came to deliver his massive order of grapes and was about to leave he played on her sympathy (as a wheelchair bound dude) and asked her to be his PA and also to work off the damage to the grapes (they got crushed in process of delivery and he paid the damages for her in advance).
One lie led to another... Though at some point in the past he was actually wheelchair bound.

I get they have to introduce conflict and some obstacles to true love etc in a romcom, but it just seems to OOC for him not to even leave a note. And even though they cut the hot kiss scene, it's still kinda implied that there was a hot kiss so it does make ZY a bit of an ass here.
Agree also re editing. IF they had left the hot kiss scene in, then it would make so much more sense why she was so pissed (though I think she is fully justified being pissed off as it stands).
Here's hoping for epic groveling and hot-prof-chases-wifey and much less of the second couple ahead.

Just finished ep 20 and 21... gotta say, I hope they make Zhuang Yu grovel a bit in the upcoming episodes.

This drama is so fun! :D I finished it some time ago, but was reminded how much I liked it (and then started listening to the OST again - it always puts me in a good mood).

I've watched 5 episodes and I love it so far - Lamu Yangzi (Jackie Li) is sooo damn funny :)

She coulda stayed long enough to see WXS' latest hairdo. It's an improvement on the ponytail I reckon :P
