WXS did intend to kill Chancellor - ended up beheading some other random who was on the Chancellor' side (WXS figured it out cos of a catchphrase that the dude had used earlier). He did that instead of beheading the guy the Chancellor wanted killed but carried the bloody head to that awful Fu guy to try and get a stab at the Chancellor.

Yea, I think XJ's mother is toxic. And that everyone has tread carefully around her for all these years so she is also really entitled. But ep 30 did end on that cliffhanger, with XJ's shifu/mentor about to tell her something about the past etc so here's hoping there is some resolution. Poor XJ, to be stuck with that mother!

I'm glad she is strong, but I reckon all that indiscriminate killing (end of ep 24) just cant be good for the soul and she doesn't seem the type that can live with all that on her conscience.
