Imo it is better than Go Ahead. I loved the first part of Go Ahead, and The Bond has those vibes.

The Bond is a gem from start to finish. I hope you enjoy it.

I agree with you. I dropped it but I didn't rate it. I only rate what I finish. But you rated a drama you didn't finish 🤷‍♀️

I have not mentioned costume/historical dramas because I don't know if you like them.

There are many good c-dramas, but Legend of the Female General isn't one of them, in my opinion. If you like "slice-of-life" type of shows, I think Chinese are absolutely masters of that genre.

Today there is some information on Viki for both shows in Europe. Moonlit Reunion starts in one day (three episodes) and When Destiny brings the Demon starts in two days (three episodes too).

And When Destiny brings the Demon too. I guess they'll release the first episodes soon.

The episode 1 was surprisingly very good... while they were on 1999. But the second part in 2025 were quite cringey, honestly. Then the episode has an epilogue in 1999 and that's cute again.

You are right, but I really don't mind if a drama is a hit. Sometimes very successful dramas have not been of my liking, and vice-versa.

Douban ratings usually are a good guide for me. I don't always agree, but at least I pay more attention to their ratings than My drama list's.

What I mean is that something can be a hit but that doesn't mean it's very good, at the same time. There are lots of examples on movies and series. The Legend of the female general or Prisoner of Beauty are successful without being very good.

I'm glad they are enjoying it, but success is not the same as quality, imo.
I have not watched the first episode yet, I'm waiting for Viki to release it.

And vice-versa. I love that some underrated shows in MDL get high rating on Douban.

I hate dropping shows too, but my Plan to watch list is so long, that I have to learn to drop and focus on dramas which I can find interesting, with good scripts or at least entertaining enough (always in my opinion) :)

Edited to the perfection... 😅 I only watched the first four episodes and especially the first one was an editing chaos. Rarely I have found something as bad as that episode. I didn't like what I watched at all and I dropped it like hot potato.

These dramas secure them a job for a long time, and usually they are the most popular (most watched) dramas in S. Korea. Even when ratings are "low" (13%) they are much higher than the rest of shows on air.
