Does anyone prefer the second male lead? When the FL was invited on a date by the SML … the ML standing behind…
The SML is likely the character treated worst by the others in this series. Both the ML and the FL were quite inconsiderate. And no, it doesn’t seem like there’s anyone else in the series for him. Personally, I think he has far more charm than the ML. And a great smile.
Loving this show so far! some really excellent convo and discussions re sex and relationships. Reminds me a lot…
However, I find the ML's personality much more boring than the 2ML's. To each their own, I guess 😂 I would love to have someone like the 2ML nearby; on the other hand, I wouldn't have a good time nor anything in common with the ML.

To be clear, I’m referring to the characters, not the actors (I’ve seen them in various other series—I’ve been a fan of Nam Ji Hyun since Shopping King Louie and Queen Seon Deok and of Kim Jae Yeong since Eun Joo’s Room ☺️). It’s his character that I just don’t find convincing—I had the same issue with the male lead in Idol I. As for Dal, I do think he’s being disrespectful at times—though he probably doesn’t even realize it—specifically in his insistence that the she has to try out sex toys. I would find it incredibly uncomfortable if my boss asked me to do something like that; his persistence would make me feel very uneasy.

I can accept some of those points, but not all of them 🤔. And I believe she did have a loving father, and her parents’ marriage was a happy one—the complete opposite of what the male lead experienced in his own family (where his father would bring various different women home). But, sadly, her father passed away.

I haven’t seen the previews, but I’m pretty sure that between the end of episode 6 and the beginning of episode 7, they did sleep together and had physical sex.

Yes, you’ve expressed that better than I did. When I struggle to understand what the FL sees in the ML (or vice versa) in a series, it’s much harder for me, as a viewer, to enjoy that romance or relationship.
I want a "sad" ending for them. I mean... they have had fun, that's all. No romantic feelings between…
I love slice-of-life dramas. More than rom-coms. And the more normal the protagonists are, the better. I prefer to see naturalness in series, rather than exaggerations.

I think I could understand it if the series had shown us something positive about him (beyond his being a good businessman). And if I could see that they were compatible enough to have a lasting romance.

Yes, in the remainder of the series, they’ll have to convince us why she would fall for someone like him. At first, I identified with the female lead to some extent, but that sense of identification has completely vanished this week—especially if she ends up falling in love with him 😂

I largely agree with your take on the characters, but for me, the series fails to explain or show why she would fall for him—he has no charm beyond his physical appearance, and their personalities aren’t particularly compatible—or why he would fall for her (I’m expected to just accept it because that’s the plot, but the show doesn’t convey it effectively).
