I observed that comedy driven romance tends to fetch low ratings, really unsure why. This is really a fun watch…
Not so many people appreciates good comedies. Imo A dream within a dream has a much better script than Prisoner of Beauty, but their ratings are 8.4 and 8.9 here 🤷🏻♀️
I'll start this once the LBL high die down a bit. I tried "Can This Love Be Translated", but I couldn’t…
It's good. I would give it a high rating but I always rate once I have finished a series. Probably some poeple who dropped it are rating it low. But the series is good.
I largely prefer MOA, though (even with that end 🫣).
I found it very entertaining, and it had some very well-done suspenseful scenes. Hyun Bin gave what I consider his best performance. I didn't watch it when it aired; I binged it a few years later and enjoyed it, although the ending did leave me somewhat disappointed.
My favorite aspect of this drama is that the ML and FL really become friends in the early stages. They actually…
It's funny, I never felt like they became friends. It seemed to me that they fell in love very quickly, but due to circumstances, they didn't confess their feelings right away. I definitely wouldn't call this a "friends to lovers" story, like in series such as the Korean drama My Unfamiliar Family or the recent Chinese series Why Is He Still Single? (highly recommend both).
Theory 2 maybe both the FL and the ML are originally from the FL’s world. The ML saw her there and took an interest…
I like your theories! Both would be interesting to watch in the series, but I think I slightly prefer it to be the first one. I have enjoyed the first episode. I hope to like the next ones too!
They both are architects, he is an established genius, she is aspiring. They meet at a cosplaying mystery VR game…
The SML is the star of the show. His acting was great. He falls in love immediately with the FL, but she is in love with the ML, so SML has nothing to do, even if he tried.
Who the F@ck writes these summaries for these show, Can someone explain to me whats the story is about.
Forget the VR part, because if you like science fiction, it'll create false expectations, like it did for me. The VR is a simulation game set in the Republican era that appears very briefly in the series. Basically, it's a romance between a renowned architect and a young woman who starts working at his firm (and also rents him a room in her house for a while). It's all very romantic, with a touch of family drama, revenge and thriller towards the end. Overall it's a romance set in our days in Shanghái.
I watched Love Between Lines without reading much about the plot and I was kinda disappointed because I thought…
I thought Love between lines took place mostly in the VR game. I guess the synopsis misleaded me. I finished it but didn't really like it so much as in the first episodes.
I haven't finished the drama yet but I think the 8.9 rating came about likely because, despite the simple storyline,…
When I fly towards you is much better than this one, imo. I rated it 9, while LBL is only a 6 for me. I guess I prefer slice-of-life and subtlety over romance+corruption+revenge (romantic novels style).
I really wanted to continue this drama but every scene gave me more reasons to drop it, one of the scene in the…
If you're going to keep watching, be patient with the series because it's full of exaggerated and cheesy moments like that one. And you're going to get tired of seeing slow-motion scenes 😅
how slow is the romance - when do they get together and is there a breakup? is there a love triangle?
Romance is not slow because they fall for each other quite soon, even though they don't get together so early. There is a little breakup near the end. And yes, this is a love triangle because the SML falls in love with the FL too.
I have enjoyed the first episode. I hope to like the next ones too!
I watched Dai Xu in the excellent series Rise of Phoenixes 😊
And it never drags.
