The episode 1 was surprisingly very good... while they were on 1999. But the second part in 2025 were quite cringey, honestly. Then the episode has an epilogue in 1999 and that's cute again.

What I mean is that something can be a hit but that doesn't mean it's very good, at the same time. There are lots of examples on movies and series. The Legend of the female general or Prisoner of Beauty are successful without being very good.

I'm glad they are enjoying it, but success is not the same as quality, imo. I have not watched the first episode yet, I'm waiting for Viki to release it.

I hate dropping shows too, but my Plan to watch list is so long, that I have to learn to drop and focus on dramas which I can find interesting, with good scripts or at least entertaining enough (always in my opinion) :)

These dramas secure them a job for a long time, and usually they are the most popular (most watched) dramas in S. Korea. Even when ratings are "low" (13%) they are much higher than the rest of shows on air.
I was really looking forward to this drama, but i have to say i am finding it really really slow.
I was looking forward to it, without having read the novel. But I dropped it after the fourth episode. I never rate dramas I don't finish but my personal rating for the episodes I watched would be very low.
The first 4 eps were nice, but it got boring after real fast, which lowkey suprised me LOL.I expected a lot better…
I have dropped it after the fourth episode, I couldn't connect with this drama at all. But according to other comments it seems to get better from there.
