This drama has a beautiful OST (songs and music). Even if you don't intend to watch it, just listen to the OST. It's way better than other aspects of the drama.
The results of the game you proposed, according to my Top ten completed dramas: 4/10 dead fathers. I didn't count the fathers that died at the end of the series, just fathers who died before the first episode or who died in the first episodes.
Thanks also for voting bravely for "underdog" BOTB drama! "Underdog" not because it does not have the qualities…
Sadly it is not easy to find. I had to watch it on YouTube (it's official MBC, but the 62 episodes are cut in hundreds of pieces and you have to pay a lot of attention to no miss some parts of episodes).

Queen Seon Deok has one of the best scripts I have found since I watch k-dramas (only a year, but I have made the most of it). The OST is beautiful too. But it is not an easy drama to watch at all. It is a very long drama, heavy on politics, it has really good action sequences, but many court discussions too. I understand if someone finds it boring.
Thanks for this interesting analysis of the results. I'll have to start watching something from China. According to the results, I must have been missing some very good series. I was one of the two people who voted for Queen Seon Deok :) I am happy to see four shows starred by Kim Nam Gil on the list (Queen Seon Deok, Through the Darkness, Live Up to your name and Fiery Priest).
I need a second season of Memories of Alhambra (that ending is a big "no"). And maybe another one of Live up to your name because it's simply so good that I need more.
I know that both of them are impossible, but a girl can dream.
Empress Ki. Extraordinary. Six Flying Dragons. Excellent. Queen Seon Duk. Greatest sageuk EVER. Period. Breathtaking.…
Well... I'm finishing it and I wouldn't mind watching another 30 episodes of Bidam, but it's being so hard to see the final episodes that somehow I want to end this torture. My poor heart 😅
This must be the one of the greatest historical K-dramas of all time. I'm on episode 61 and I cannot gather my…
I feel exactly the same now that I'm in episode 61 (first time watching the series). You have put my toughts into words. I know how it ends but still it's so hard to see.
A masterpiece. It is old and it lacks the editing and cinematography we see nowadays (and makeup could be better) but the writing, the story, the costumes, the battle and fighting choreos, and the characters are so good! Unforgettable Bidam.
I never watch k-dramas while airing. I binge, but I watch a pair of episodes a day (well, sometimes some more 😅) so it takes me days or weeks (when it's a quite long series) to finish them. As I have been in Dramaland for less than a year I still have lots of "old" series to enjoy.

I have taken notes of 33 dialogues and monologues because the script was so good I wanted to read it now and then.
I'll miss Bidam a lot.

Unforgettable Bidam.
I wish I had started earlier.
