I'm really enjoying the slow burn. I always lose interest when they get together too early.

She seems to be more physically attracted to him than he is to her. Every time they have an accidental encounter, she seems to react more. Is it like that in the book as well?

Hopefully, it won't take as long as miraculous ladybug for them to find their real identities. So many close encounters.

I think both TSJ and XL are pan and XL is gender fluid. She was very willing to live as WQL for the rest of her life, but she also wants to wear a dress sometimes. Come to think of it, we're lucky this passed censorship!

That's the scene that I replayed the most. I loved how his voice quivered when asked if it hurts - so much emotion! ZWY bought some much depth to his character.

ikr, most drama adaptations make tons of changes - can't even tell it's from the source material. This one has been so true to the novel.

Do you think CX knows how XL feels towards XY? From the audience's perspective, it's pretty obvious and CX was carefully watching XL the whole time.

So whose jealous expressions do you enjoy watching the most? For me, it's CX's. He looks so annoyed, but has to also give his fake smile. Don't know why I find it so entertaining. For XL, I just feel his pain.

ZWY's Xuan is more than what I imagined. ZWY showed the complexity of this character so well.

I think this is the truest novel adaptation I've seen so far. I'm not talking about the plot, but the essence and spirit of the characters. Kudos to the cast for interpreting their roles so well. I'm going to be really sad waiting for part 2 to air.

Jing - lover/hubby
XL - soulmate/confidante
CX - brother

Hard for me to climb on the CX ship. I only see familial love, but he is undoubtedly the most important person in her life.

I'm not her fan, but I am now after watching her slay her role. I don't like cutesy FL, so I didn't finish most of her dramas. LYF really showcases the depth of YZ's craft.

CX doesn't want to see that Jing is worthy, so he doesn't see that Jing is the mastermind. XY knows deep down that FFB is XL, but doesn't want to see quite yet. Jing doesn't want to see that his brother is truly evil.

The eyes see what the heart wants to see.

I'm on the 17 ship, but I cried the most for XL when reading the novel. When watching the drama, I'm crying the most for CX. Such complex characters! Loving LYF so far!
