I loved the dark and bloody premiere, I was scared I wouldn't like it after the time jump due to negative comments, but I am still enjoying it. The story added a bit of comedy and sexual tension between leads, but overall it remains a dark fantasy, captivating and with decent twist plots.
Sure, many are the things they have to explain and everything can go wrong with k-writers, but it's unfair to trash it beforehand. Let's see how it unfold first.

This article should be pinned at each comment section! Pointing out flaws of a drama doesn’t mean hate watching. To reach that point the flaws have to overcome the strength, and you have to take pleasure in analyzing what’s wrong. I am a living example, I am often accused of hate watching but I rarely do that. I rant a lot while watching dramas because I like to find out what’s wrong, but this doesn’t mean I am not liking the drama in its overall. And when I don’t like it, I drop.
The key point of hate watching is to take pleasure into dissecting a drama.

I can suffer the amnesia, what bother me a lot is the ML having no willpower at all, he should follow his instinct instead of what 2FL says. But I get this is the sub-plot the writer decided to use to fill 10+ episodes. We all know how family works, they will dragged it till the marriage. I hope 2FL will pay a lot for her wrongdoings, she has no respect for the person she loves, not even for her kid. She hopes ML will not regain his memory fully aware that her kid is suffering about not be remembered. I want a super massive slap scene with her protagonist!

A nice rom com with a solid mystery plot. Someone may say the plot is classic. Yeah, but it’s well done and told in a fresh way.

Personally I enjoyed Squid Game more for the entertainment factor and for the characters. But I think AIB had a better plot, at least in the first part, and more potential for a sequel. Overall I think they are both decent drama but not masterpiece.

Internationally speaking, AIB didn’t got the attention it deserved while Squid Game popularity got out of hand.
