A great movie that explain how humans freedom is just a mirage. It all depends on which country’s flag you are born under and sometimes even that is not enough against the system. This movie was about north and South Korean, different ideologies, same ways of dealing with possible treat. But the movie can apply to any country as well.
Great article written from two POV by two friend users with sometimes I also share the same opinion and sometimes not.
Here my point of view, some of you may already read most of it around MDL feed or comment, but I made a recap! =P
EMPRESS KI - watching right now because Jeana seduced me and disert me! As cityhunter said, around ep. 25 is when I start to crumble, I really can't stand anymore the whole scheming. But I promise myself that I would get rid of my historical backlog so I keep watching, but my review would be very negative, brace yourself Jeana!
FULL HOUSE- Between all the famous kdrama, Full House is the only one I never been able to appreciated. As much as I love forced cohabitation, this one used a really stupid trops to bring the main leads in the same house, so the drama start wrong from the beginning, because I couldn't belive how naive the girl was. Then what I like most in this kind of romance is the endless bikering that bring the leads to love, but in full house this bickering is always interrupted by the ML who constantly run back to his first love like a dog, treating like shit the FL in the meanwhile. This ruining complete my image of him and the chemistry the show was trying to build with the FL. Between all version I watched, the less worse is the Thailand one. I instead recall with affection the Smiling Pasta's adaptation
MAD DOG- this drama is one of those drama that gave me constrasted feeling. At first I found it interesting, than I was scared the show could entertein me till the end with all those procedural case, but then the real plot shows up took all the screentime even from the chacarters, overall it was good but not well belanced. The biggest disappointment was the romance, what the point to show attraction between two character if than you don't develop the story, at this point I like better to not have romance at all.
MY MISTER: avoided cause I tought it was just a sad plot, which I do not like, but with all the praising I try it out this year and my theory was right, the title can be change into pity party, but the main topic of the plot was interesting and the cast performance was great specially IU
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo: One of my favorite historical/romance drama, I love the main couple so much and beside the first part where there was too much romance with all princes infatuated by her, the rest of the show was a great tragedy. And I love romance tragedy!
W - Two worlds: DROPPED, I do like fantasy, but I really couldn't overcome the fact that it was a characater came from a webtoon. Everything look so unrealistic to me.
Great article, I have too many dramas on standby to start tackling down Filipino production too, specially because, as you said, it's annoying to find the files with subs etc. But than I notice that there are a few on Netflix (my region) so maybe I will try one, even if they look more like action movies than the romance you describe.
We all know that Netflix buy different stuff depending on the region, maybe here action is more trendy than romance. Here a list of what I found: BuyBust Aurora Boss
Mm if you think about people who break away from long term relationships, stuff like this happens. I have seen…
Who are you to say it’s not ok? It’s mine opinion. You don’t like it? Just scroll down.
Beside in my comment I didn’t only talked about that but also about woman who are abused. The fact that both of you ignore that important topic and only focused on my slight negative comment about how they are portraying SK society says a lot on the fact you two are more worry to defend a drama you like than to have an actual conversation about it.
I am enjoying this drama but I am entitled to point out what I consider a flaw.
I'm on verge of dropping because of boredom. Ep 1 was great but now at ep 7 Park Mo Geon has had no character…
I admit that I would have like more to see a stronger characterization for JKY’s role but overall, as I wrote below, I think the main problem are not the roles but the plot itself, they waste to much time in showing usesless sad scenes instead of giving more space to all the characters. They spent almost 5 minutes on pretty visual with the soundtrack on the background. Beautiful but what a waste of time.

I do not know where you live but here what they are showing in this drama happens only in drama (soap opera style). So to me is not realistic at all. Beside I know how SK culture work but I also know that we are in 2019, time are changing but this show is portraying a very old style culture. To me they over did the whole social couple problem, like in something in the rain when they over react about the age difference.
Her friend sum up pretty well what is going on, like it or not she made a good point about the whole relationship and ex involvement.
But I still think they are exaggerating with the ex stalking and two father that are one worse than the other.
I instead liked how they try to talk about woman who are abused inside the marriage, but it was introduce too late and now I hope they will not mess up such an important topic. She should go to the police or tell her lawyer.
Overall the show turn out to be very different of what I had imagine it would be. I am a bit disappointed but I am still curious about it.
I am the only one who loved each character and their interactions but find the general plot not so addicting? It’s original but I feel like how roles are written and acted is the true gem of this drama
If this ends in a tragedy I will be pissed, not because I do not like tragedy, but because I like to know from the start if I am watching a romantic comedy or a tragedy. Beside I find this to be a bit draggy, between the scheming against Lee Yeon Soo and L's story about his destiny, the plot seems stuck in a loop for a while.
What a mess, this is NOT a time travel but an historical drama, with people who came from the future and act like stupid who never study Joseon's history in their entire life, besides the psycho who seems to be the smarter.... you can relay only on psychopaths on dramas this days! XD The plot took a very long detour just to arrive where they wanted, bring everyone inside the political scheming palace. So now we will have another 7 episodes about them being involved into political stuff?!? B O R I N G
Dropped Let me know if something major happens. thx
This are the titles I watched between the one you mention, but I really liked only the first 3 kran la krang neung nai hua jai Enter the dragon the man from nowhere cheewit peur kah huajai peur tur Ip Man confession of murder twe weeks
