Ren was the best version of Rui. I was never a huge fan of Ren's characters and never got second lead syndrome…
Haha for real though, like I just don't think Rui's character is worthy of getting second lead syndrome since he would always try to make moves on the FL when he got dumped by his childhood crush but Ren is just so chill 😎 His platonic friendship with Gorya works in this adaptation haha Thank you for the comment! :)
After reading some thread on twt, ep 15 shouldve put some flashback from gorya pov...just to show us her feelings…
Yeah I agree, the drama should have done something like that in ep 15. I feel like in this adaptation, Thyme loves Gorya more than Gorya loves Thyme. Which is sad cause it should be a balance like in the other drama adaptations. It's mainly like you said, the drama shows more of Thyme 's pov and efforts of loving Gorya and fighting for their love.
In BOF, Jun-Pyo and Jandi were separated for 4 yrs. MG18 didn't have a time skip.
Yeah but Junpyo and Jandi were still in a relationship with the whole 4 year time skip once Junpyo graduated high school. I was just wondering what other adaptation had a time skip after the main leads had broken up like in the thai version.
The Japanese version, Makino and Doumyoji separated for a year after season one. During that time they didn't…
Haha honestly though! All they needed to do was have honest conversation with each other instead of waiting a whole year in pain! I guess the Thai version feels so fast pace for me that it took me a while to realize "huh, has it already been a year lol"?
The Japanese version, Makino and Doumyoji separated for a year after season one. During that time they didn't…
Yeah I remember now that S2 of hana yori dango, Makino ended up reaching out to Doumyoji in New York after the 1 year time skip too, I just think it was odd how in the Thai version, Gorya believed that Thyme's mom had cancer for a whole year, maybe that misunderstanding could have been cleared up sooner
Huh? Gorya never took money from Thyme's mom. She lied about it to Thyme.
Yeah it doesn't make any sense. In the orignal manga story, both Thyme and Ren came to Gorya where she was helping her family. Thyme actually paided off her family's debt even though Gorya didn't want him to do that. I think the Thai version follwed similar to the Korean version where Ren paid her debt and Thyme didn't come to see her.
Guys, correct me if I'm wrong but did Thyme and Gorya seriously have to reunite after a 1 year time skip? Why a whole year later ? Didn't the other versions only took the main leads like a month or less for them to connect after the whole rain break up?
I definitely feel more of puppy love vibes of Thyme-Gorya and not that passionate-emotional-true-love. And yeah…
I feel like there was definitely potential to expand and deepen Thyme and Gorya's love since the drama did a nice job in thier relationship for the first 8-9 episodes but then the writers started rush things and adding many story arcs in 1 to 2 episodes rather than focusing on making Thyme and Gorya's love more deep. Yeah it's disappointing how Tia just became an extra! Like the sister is suppose to be more relevent in the story and also the maid who always supported the main lead's relationship during the maid arc but in this adaptation we barely got to see the importence in her character :(
This series is not bad, i like it so far. It’s entertaining and the cast all great.however, i think this series…
Yeah I definitely get the whole puppy love vibe from Thyme and Gorya in this adaptation too, which is nice and all but like Hana yori dango is originally written as a love story with a roller-coaster of events the main leads go though by having the two characters Makino and Domyouji have a strong emotional passionate love for each other and had to face so much heartaches in order to finally get together but here in the thai version, so many things get resolved very quickly. Like you said, Gorya getting help alot of time rather than fighting for her own. Maybe it has to do with short duration of episodes in this adaptation?
At this point, there is no redemption arc for her. She's evil rotten to the core
I'm hoping the Thai version does like a movie after this season ends, similar to how the Japanese version did to conclude the main lead's love story(Hana yori dango). Idk if they will but it would be a nice satisfying conclusion to Thyme and Gorya's relationship cause we didn't get that many sweet moments of them dating and only have two episodes left anyway sadly
At this point, there is no redemption arc for her. She's evil rotten to the core
Exactly! But I'm honestly glad the terminal illness was NOT a plot twist cause that would seriously mess up the original story cause Thyme's mom is supposed to be written cruel from the start until the very last minute when she has her redemption but idk how the Thai version is going to pull it off with only 2 episodes left to go.
Wow Thyme's mom seriously lied about the terminal illness just for Gorya to break up with Thyme and only to have Gorya lie about taking the money from Thyme's mom too?! The breakup scene gave off a completely different vibe compared to the other drama adaptations/manga since the execution is soo much different and way more cruel.
Thank you for the comment! :)
