I'm not trying to be rude or a smart ass, but seriously, wouldn't this be a great cause for some deep reflection…
Where did I use all caps? On proper nouns, names and acronyms?! Because I didn't use them for anything else... A "shame-free" society? You're an expert at shaming people on here who express a different opinion. But again, you really are reaching here, and you seem to like making huge declarative statements about how right you are and how wrong everyone else is. Again, you don't know me, but you keep making these assumptions about what "people like me" do and say. Suffice it to say that all of the bullshit you've spewed so far about me is just wrong. But I don't owe you an explanation, and there's no fucking way that I would trust you with any of my personal information.

Fuck off, honestly. You used some big words in your screed just now, but you just sound pathetic and sad. Talk about not being able to handle something - dear Lord, you are the worst. If my opinion really didn't matter to you, you wouldn't have used as many caps as you did in your reply (which you also insulted someone else in this thread for doing, but you seem to not be able to take your own advice.) I've watched LGBTQ+ content for longer than you have, I'd be willing to bet, so don't lecture me about what I can handle. You don't have a clue. "Virtue-fascism"? WTF?! As if you can fucking talk. You virtue-signal all over the fucking place, but whatevs. And you don't know me, but I'm about as far from puritanical as it gets - but hey, you've got to always be right! And contrary to your proclamations, you actually seem to be the biggest moralizer on this thread....

Hey, Flypyde, I, for one, am fucking tired of you throwing in SJW whenever someone says something you don't like or disagree with, especially around issues as personal as sexual violence, assault, and consent. By this point you've probably written a ten thousand word thesis (on this drama's thread alone) on how you feel about these issues and I've seen you use SJW as an insult more than once. I get that in that US now it's the new tag to get thrown around at folks who are tired of getting run over by unfair systems but I actually AM what you might call a SJW - like it's the actual job that I hold, in a real field of employment, that I get paid for, in real life, working for justice and preventing real violence and death in various communities around the US. So just fucking stop. I'm sure you can think of other ways to insult people on here - I mean, we've all seen that ability on display for a while now. And maybe just be grateful that there are still some of us who care about justice in this country, because it just might even save your rude ass one day too, (or someone that you care about.)
OHMYWORD, this is the BEST. If I wasn't already obsessed with Ryusei, it would be a done deal by now, no question. The two leads are so precious together I can hardly stand it. The food looks amazing, and that view of Mt. Fuji?! #iwanttogotothere
You should pick it back up, if you haven't already. This is one brilliantly written and acted drama.
Actually, no. Yes, there's some change that happens and yes, there is some character development that happens, (because there's supposed to be or it's not worth it), but no, you're off on at least one of your assumptions.

To each their own! It's interesting that you think that it's better without the romance - if you knew how it ultimately ended, you might like it more...but it's up to you, of course!
I was the last person to comment here and now I'm commenting again. :-) I just re-watched this, to see if I could understand it a bit more this time and I think I do. This is a film where we get to see how certain characters gradually lose their numbness and learn to feel something. So much of their actions seem to be grasping for feeling, and that's why they make so many of the decisions they make - often with consequences that will last forever. One of the characters says at the end that they will live on by being "wounded [and] forgetting [and] remembering." I think that's the crux of the film. It's no less unpleasant to watch in places, but that's the point. I can't say I "liked" watching this film but I now have respect for it, if that makes sense.
