All I can say is that in one comment you have managed to prove every single criticism on here completely and 100% accurate. This kind of thinking is the very height of white saviorism, of continued colonial thinking, and is just flat out wrong.

So your only answer to a comment that was filled with personal experiences, factual statements, and constructive criticisms was, "Nope, you're wrong, actual person from an actual African country, I know better than you about your own reality, because whatever I believe must be the universal truth for everyone because I say so." Get tf outta here with that. I've read a lot of comments on this thread today but your "Swallow your own pride and face your own reality" comment is by far the most patronizing and condescending one I've read yet.

I agree, and I think you have very eloquently said what's been missing amidst all the negativity around this story. (And I say this as the one who's been cheated ON, not the cheater, lest anyone get the wrong idea.)

I agree with you 100%. And I sometimes wonder about the general age and life experience of folks here on MDL and if that really colors the reviews and ratings.

For being a K-drama from 2016, this doesn't deserve all the hate it gets, but I was definitely more invested in the second couple than the first.

This looks really good, and is in my queue already. I love the theme and the characters and general design look amazing from the trailer.

Let me say this AGAIN, we are NOT going to agree here, so just let it be and leave your lmaoos for someone else.

By the way, I also loved Someday or One Day (in my top ten) but so is Just Between Lovers. So *again* let's just agree to disagree because you're just not going to convince me that it was dull, boring, torture, or had terrible writing, etc, etc, etc because I don't think any of that is true. I think it was actually one of the best portrayals of trauma in k-dramaland.
(Also, you do know that The Red Sleeve is based on actual historical figures, right?)

There's always the option of just not watching it.

We don't have the same tastes in dramas, not even in the slightest. And that's fine. We're going to have to just disagree on all of it.

Just Between Lovers was a frickin' masterpiece so I'm not sure what you're saying here. Not to mention his roles in Memory and Confession and The Red Sleeve which were all amazing. He picks great roles and is great in those roles.
