Just Between Lovers was a frickin' masterpiece so I'm not sure what you're saying here. Not to mention his roles in Memory and Confession and The Red Sleeve which were all amazing. He picks great roles and is great in those roles.

No. Everyone in this drama is portrayed as deeply flawed, or even broken in some way. There's no completely good character and no completely bad one either. I don't see any romanticizing of anything, frankly. That's what's so interesting about it.
Also, all of the characters lost something due to the choices they made. No one is "encouraging women to cheat" - which is kind of a weird statement to make, imo.

I don't agree with this at all - this drama certainly didn't encourage infidelity...for anyone. And maybe it was written this way (by a woman) because it said things that women there have wanted to say.

I think that was on purpose, and their characters were meant to be that "cringy." (They weren't all American either.) Also, that's not a new plot device - where outsiders pay lots and lots of money to watch people kill each other, pretty much every death game genre movie/tv show in existence has that plot device.
Compared to most other K-dramas, (not Netflix and not new dramas) these actors' English and acting were actually tolerable. King2Hearts had the worst acting I've ever seen by non-Korean actors. It made SG look Oscar-worthy.
For the record, I still think the original comment was problematic. Are K-dramas only allowed to have Korean actors in them and must we hear complaints about "foreigners" every time they don't?

No foreigners?! WTF? If I remember correctly all of the characters spoke Korean. This question sounds very weird to me.

Not true. Stranger had two seasons, both with excellent ratings.
