Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi is one of my most favorite dramas, and I loved Promise Cinderella as well, so we don't have the same taste - but that's ok. We can't all like age gap and student-teacher romances, (even though Hajimete Koi was one of the most pure and innocent of the bunch), and again, that's ok.
There are lots of other dramas that highlight what a phenomenal actor Meteor-kun (one of Yokohama Ryusei's nicknames) is, and Promise Cinderella proved for many of us that Maeda Gordon is just as talented as his famous older brother.
And I'll say too that if Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto is the only Yamaken drama you ever watch, you're doing yourself a HUGE disservice. There are so many other - better - dramas and films of his out there. (I have a whole list.)
I liked it a lot. The transitions didn't bother me like other commenters, and I very much liked the realistic acting. It's actually the first thing I've seen where I really liked Haru - she was amazing here.
since this is aimed at me, I did my homework. Nothing in his cheery vids (with barely any following and views…
Are you the only one who does "homework" on things that are commented on here? I sincerely doubt it. In fact, some of us might even be researchers in real life and do a form of homework for a living - and therefore might know how to find more information relevant to topics discussed on this site. Even so, I STILL would never dream of saying that I'm always right.

If you think it was aimed at you, then that's fine, but it wasn't totally. For the record, I never said he had a mental breakdown, those are your words. Having mental and emotional health issues and having a breakdown are two very different things, and people need rest for other reasons too. But I honestly don't give a shit why he hasn't been in a drama for two years, because I'm just not that invested in an actor's private life...because it's private and none of my damn business.
I've noticed a pattern with your comments though, and that is you don't ever admit that you might be wrong about something - and that's becoming tiresome. How are you SO sure that you're right all of the time? The truth is, neither of us are there, and know what happened, or is happening to him, or to anyone else in South Korea. But the difference is, almost all of the rest of us are willing to admit that we don't know everything about a situation....but you double down and say things like, "so you cannot deny that I'm right." What?
The pandemic has messed with lots of people in lots of ways around the world, and I've personally heard from actors in the US who chose not to work, (or couldn't work) for the last two years because of different reasons. (And this actor in particular has done a few guest roles, hosted a variety show, and worked on his YouTube channel.) But ultimately, who gives a shit why he hasn't been in a drama the last two years? Maybe he wanted to rest a bit, or had mental or emotional health issues that he wanted to take some time to deal with - because for damn sure that's been the case with a lot of us!
sorry to be a party pooper but if an actor going on 30 hasn't become a lead by now, he never will. You can only…
Not quite true! There are actors who are doing theater and variety shows and music and only graduate to secondary or main roles later in their 20's, or even later. Or some that just straight up get noticed later - like Park Seo Joon, who was 25 when he got his first main role, or Kim Seon Ho who was *32* when he got his first main role (because his career was in the theater first.) These are just two names off the top of my head, and I bet I could find more if I tried.
True ! You don't get to see toxic relationships in historical drama!Thank you for reading!
Hmm, I don't agree with that at all. In most historical dramas that I've watched the FL is property that gets passed from family to family and usually has little agency to who she marries, etc. How is that not toxic? Am I missing something here?

(And his giggle made the whole movie.)
