You're welcome! :-) I saw him first in Colorful Love and was blown away by how mature and poised of an actor he is already at his very young age. But now this drama is just different - it's like he's on a different plane than everyone else. His acting is on a different level than many of his peers. Honestly he reminds me of Yoshizawa Ryo, who I think is a freakin' genius - the ways their eyes speak...

2 years difference in age hardly makes something a noona romance

Ok, hold up. Are you actually saying that because there are J-dramas that deal with infidelity that soon all the dramas will be about incest and polygamy?! WTF - what a ridiculous and frankly, prejudiced thing to say!
There have been films and tv shows from all over the world that feature themes of cheating and infidelity - not to mention cheating on one's partner happens around the world as well. I don't cheat on my spouse and I don't want him to cheat on me, but I'm certainly not going to say something so blatantly wrong about an entire group of people because of their tv shows. As an American, I HATE when other folks think that about me.
(Also, please spell Japanese correctly.)

This was an interesting film. It wasn't all that sexy, frankly, and honestly it was kind of sad - also, mean people exist everywhere and can be mean to each other all times of the day and night - but it had interesting things to say.

AND Michieda Shunsuke?? It's like an early Christmas gift! LOL

It's some of the best acting that I've seen in years.

We have some folks on here who refuse to rate anything higher than like 7.5, even if they love it. So when you have over-inflated K-drama ratings and then people who refuse to rate higher for J-dramas (for their own reasons) then we never get ratings that are actually reflective of the drama or film. (Also like @rinmei said, there are some who see the tag Infidelity and just hate it, regardless of how good the story is. It's frustrating.)

I really liked it. I haven't seen many asadoras yet, but I really liked that one.

This was comedic gold and sweet, heartfelt moments. I loved it.

This was way better than I thought it would be, and I am STILL laughing at the first time we saw the chicken arrive. Masaki and Tao were adorable!

I know this comment is two years old at this point, but I think you were proved wrong in your predictions. Suda kills it with anything he tries, and that certainly includes romance.

I didn't like it much. Other dramas have done this theme better, I think. And CONSENT is a whole word.

But my favorites so far have been:
High&Low The Worst:
Yamada Yuki (of course)
Shiono Akihisa (his blond hair and glasses were so damn cool)
Shison Jun (I like him in everything)

High&Low The Movie:
I liked the original brothers a lot - it was the first time I had seen them. I liked The Movie because it helped me understand the story more, but I remain partial to the The Worst, and I really need to see the other ones!
But I would absolutely agree 100% about Cobra (Iwata Takanori is a great actor!!)
