I know he doesn't really love her yet, but the look he gave her at the end of ep 6 before he deepened their kiss?…
Yeah, I dislike that while he may not wholeheartedly love her yet, he chose to initiate intimacy before marriage. Whatever his and her goal was I feel like they were both not at that point yet so they should have waited until after marriage. Felt forced and fake, imo.
Iām not really loving how the timelines in this are being shown. Itās a bit confusing and I feel like Iām…
Yeah itās not enough. Their chemistry and relationship feels forced and lukewarm to me right now. Nothing special. Not sure what his character sees in her but that is clearly the plot, I presumed. He knows about her lies, he has an agendaā a shrouded mystery yet to unravel.
First impression, again first impression only based on episode 1. The premise lack any type of feels and I wasnāt impress. Iām not feeling his pain or her pain. The telling and showing was definitely choppy, losing engagement and anticipation quick. Neither of the two main characters had yet to convinced me in their role. The actor doesnāt come off imposing. As for the actress I liked her acting from BFTB but here her acting appears too ārefined or restrictedā and not delivering what it may. Currently, I feel like the drama was bland and only a hype. Both emotional and physical side of it isnāt delivering as firstly anticipated but on the bright side, it has potential and remained promising if accordingly. The relationship of them being classmates can be more developed and interestingly shown/told; but I guess we will get more in depth later and so for now the quick, choppy pace helps get the story rolling faster.
Wow! Heās a fine dish. Definitely going to be the next big thing for the short film industry. Hopefully, this eye candyās career progress to main role for longer dramas. š»
That birthmark appears because of the poison the queen fed her before she left for Qi. She has to take the antidote…
Yeah I recall why the tattoo exist, but I was referring to their scheme. The goal is to not be caught or identified, no? So why did she use something so identifiable to her person as a mean? She knew she was in need of antidote soon and with the tattoo evident, it would be wise to hide her unique tattoo and not go flashing it up for the heir to see? Clearly, she meant to do so, red painted nails and tattoo was part of her disguise per their agenda, hence afterwards they knowingly watched the heirās men checking the arms of many women (at the gambling den) for those exact telltale signs. But not finding one of the likes the heir will only make a search for her. She really put herself out thereā¦which, as seen she was quickly identified, though not entirely by her vanishing tattoo but unfortunately her voice as well. Naturally, I failed to understand the intelligence and brainworks there but ideally it moves the plot to where it needs to goāāso, I guess.
I think there is something bl going on between them his gaze at hua jin is different he just listens to everything…
Thought that too but I wonder how much of that will they invest in, when the heir also likes women, too, according to the gambling scene when he was seen fascinated by the main girlā¦claiming sheās his type.
I did a bit of FF so I might have missed it, but was there a specific reason why she didnāt choose to hide her tattoo in the first place at the gambling den? Itās definitely a huge give away. And was main guy already aware she had a ābirthmarkā because it was kind of strange when she mentioned it and he had yet to wonder/question her about it.
For a second I thought main girl had faked a different tattoo and perhaps throwing the heir off with the disguise, but clearly they didnāt think that deep. So, I guess the disclosure of the tattoo is just writerās plot device in order to have the chase going into the village scenesā¦?
I want to watch this but the mention of harem makes me stop right way. Helpš
Actually itās not that bad. Never thought I would say this, but I low-key find it refreshing that main girl indeed starts out as the 4th concubine, (though he better divorce all them B****** later š) but as of right now it truly makes the heroine stands out from the rest. In a household of animosity, intrigues, and conspiracies, he might not trust her, but itās obvious how present he is with her. The other women doesnāt even get his presence, lol. They are pretty much nonexistent, detached, and forgotten. Clearly, he only keeps them around for either political gains or as a chess marker to his game.
Calling SNSD's Seohyun not pretty has to be one of the most braindead things a human being can say.
Aww, you are not wrong! I will take credit where itās due. I am funny and quick with the wits! I make myself laugh all the time too! Especially when Iām dealing with dimmed little twits on a public forum. Cracks me up too, girlfriend! Seriously, please google objective opinion. I hardly diminished the looks of the actress, but if you believe so, then you take the cake! Toodles, XOXO, my sweet Dumpling!
PS. Also, you might want to google the definition of dumpling and check under informal. Now, Iām diminishing the appearance of you; and not gonna lie, that kind of made me feel a bit good inside! š but do eat your cake! Youāve wanted it and now youāve earned it! As I gotta go and get a life and wonāt have time humoring you no more. You are boring me! š

Sure, I can be bitter, if thatās what you want. As I am sure not only do you have low comprehension skills but a lack of self-awareness. For future reference, no need to adopt a ābitterā attitude, or assume ābitternessā to justify your own! Just because you donāt agree with someone, you donāt have to gaslight yourself thinking they must be a hater or a bitter person. It hardly make your opinions credible anymore does it change what it may. And remember the person may just be a genuine viewer like you! who is simply entitled to their opinion, popular or unpopular. Hopefully, the brain is working and not full of bias. Have a good day!

Now are you saying that just because she is SNSDās Seo Hyun then the world must view her as pretty? No thank you for bandwagoning, also not to burst your bubble but thatās not a fact but your opinion only. As you say only braindead people would say so. Respectably, a well rounded being should be open to viewersā various opinions, no?
LOL WHAT HAPPENED I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE 8.7 ON DAY ONE AND NOW ITS 7.9 SOMEONE SPILL and I know its cause its…
Well, since you asked lol. Iāll share my thoughts from what I observed so far from the two episodes. Obviously, itās a drama and not to be scrutinized with human logic, but I do think the overused plot have yet to offer anything refreshing and witty. I honestly do not see a potential and think rating will drop more as we get into the show.
Right now we are entertained by the comical side, but I also feel like it is a snooze factor. Too many unserious characters, and as it appeared everyone is quite annoying and senseless in this world, no? Even the duke (main guy), which I thought was to be cool, smart and mysterious is coming off just like everyone else around him. Really main girl has a bunch of clowns for a family! and why did the supposed novel main girl admit to having a crush on the actual main girl, too? Huh? I feel like the original writer or maybe the screenwriter didnāt think certain scenes through. With the market scene, when main girl was acting out plan C or whatever to get him to change his mind, I thought nobody was to know about their involvement yet but here they were, publicly bantering about such? Surprisingly, with their audience of wide opened eyes and fully listening ears, none of those onlookers were exactly shocked nor wagged a loose readied tongue? Come on! Itās the infamous duke and a certain noble lady. It would totally make great gossips, if not the best scandal of the year! Last and not least, how come neither the duke or her servant find it strange that she, a noble lady, have yet to mourn her loss of maidenā¦like seriously girl basically told him it wasnāt her first time by poking fun at his obsession over his own loss of virginity! š¤¦āāļøš
I guess maybe itās this particular novel writer thing? I remembered the same in Hidden Love as well.
When I say young I wasnāt necessarily talking about in years but more so at heart. Young at heart. But speaking of age, as you brought it up, that perfectly aligns with my other theory to a certain degree. Older people donāt undergo youth of today and only produce what they THINK or BELIEVE is cute, flirting, or dating style of young people. Just because they write romance all their life, their idea vs actual might not be the same. What they fantasize and want, overly exaggerating and thinking itās perfect but rather coming off more cringe and unnatural. (When done wrong) And, itās funny that you mentioned Love 020, the drama version, right? Have you seen it? Itās absolutely a cringe factor for me. But I can see what you mean. The writer do have her own expertise in portraying young love and butterflies in tummy. It gave me chillsā¦not in a good way. A masterpiece of cringe like none others. Too many things annoyed me as the logic and mentality of the characters amuses me in a bad way. I do question the audience you speak of that seemed to favor the show. I canāt get over the supposed college students that constantly behaved so much like elementary students. Not to mention the mean girls that try ruining the main girlās image by telling the main guy that sheās a divorced womanā¦a divorced woman from a computer game. Like omg, how scandalous! Not! I canāt believe these college students were so juvenile and immature. And really, who liked this again? For sure, not I!
I guess maybe itās this particular novel writer thing? I remembered the same in Hidden Love as well.
Thatās exactly why I said what I said, lol! Because we know itās a drama, therefore itās not real and cringe! A womenās idea of love but at the same time mostly not ideally! if you donāt understand then you wonāt, thereās a fine line somewhere there. Didnāt I say when itās done right itās less cringe, when done wrong itās stupid? I have seen countless audience eating anything up and applauding ridiculous silly dramas because they are just that. I like to think Iām otherwise! Hahaha. Anyways, Iām a huge fan of the main lead here and main girl is gorgeous, great visuals and chemistry for sure. Not sure of the full potential the story line but Iām not hating on it if thatās what you think. I was merely speaking my mind of the written menstruation trope. Good day!
I guess maybe itās this particular novel writer thing? I remembered the same in Hidden Love as well.
Oh, itās cringe alright. Donāt get me started, a lot of the dramas has been very very cringe. I dropped so many but this is not about that or other dramas. For the last time, itās not womenās issues being brung up that is cringe itās the way we know itās all for romance. sake. Underneath it all, a young female writer thought it was cute to write such scene because girlies seek that kind of attention and attitude from a man. We all know itās giving a womanās fantasy! Nothing wrong, but sometimes itās unreal and cringe. š¤·āāļø
I guess maybe itās this particular novel writer thing? I remembered the same in Hidden Love as well.
It has to be a female writer, of course. Generally, only a woman would give a damn about menstruation and itās her idea of cute and romantic: that a hero isnāt grossed out but understanding of womenās nature. Also, catering to most womenās idea of modern romance, I highly doubt itās for the sake of less taboo. Clearly, womenās menstruation is now used as romance, smh. Thatās the cringe part.
I get that but also ML is a doctor so they understand about menstruation/cramp and whatnot. The one drama that…
Indeed heās a doctor, romantically here or not, I was talking about including womenās menstruation as a plot device in several romance dramas. And before anyone say why so icky of bodily function, Iām not Iām only saying is that the trope nowadays? To prove a man worthy he must be accepting of that. Kind of a weird way to express a green flag but must be the ānormā nowadays.
And now onto watching the next episodes.

*cough* Seo Hyun is nearly a decade past her prime š
