The show's plot armor is too ridiculous. For example in episode 3 everyone is physically fighting but one of the girl scares off multiple guys by just making a scary gesture. In that situation with everyone's life on the line the guys would just all swarm her, no one would fear what she did in that situation. Stuff like that really ruins the show for me since it just shows that some characters have insane plot armor. The writers could've easily had the same outcome without making things ridiculous like that. I dropped the show after that since it had already happened too many times. Overall I give this a 3 out of 10.

I looked again and it does seem to be missing a few parts. I think ep 7 p1, ep 7 p3, ep 8 p3, ep 9 p2, and ep 9 p1. I looked a bit in some other places and couldn't find the drama anywhere else.
The start's battle effects look horrible, far worse than most of the show in case that puts anyone off. I was about to quit since it looked insanely low quality but eventually when he becomes a human things look better. Overall the show was pretty good but I just wish it lasted longer. It has been 2 years since it was released with no sign of a season 2 so I doubt there ever will be. I did try watching the animation but that was far less interesting and some plot points were different.
EDIT: eventually continued the animation.. so raised my rating from 8.0 to 8.5
Lots of muted scenes which also seem to unsubbed and I really really hate the whole overbearing boss thing which the main guy is, he does eventually become tolerable but then mid way through the show he reverts to overbearing boss again.
The main girl was decent though and pretty much all the side characters are likable.
It also is pretty different than the description describes. The description makes it sound like them not meeting is a major plot but she changes her mind nearly instantly. The real description of the movie would make it sound far more generic though so I kind of understand...
Anyway, personally I think the main guy was kind of garbage but the show didn't really acknowledge that much. I felt the girl deserved far better.. She constantly was presented as the one with problems she needs to work through while honestly I think she was pretty much perfect from the start. The problem was never her but the somewhat unrealistic extreme toxicity she encounters.
Dropped the show on episode 6. Up to this point it was mostly about the guy investigating the girl which was really boring since I hate investigative shows. 1 out of 10 for me since I didn't enjoy a single moment of this drama.
I am watching them both at the same time and having no trouble. Did not know about the series and fell in love…
There is also "The Rise of Zhao Jiadi (2025)" which sounds like it has a similar plot to season 1 but with 10 minute episodes that is currently airing. I haven't watched any of these series though so I am not sure. I was about to watch the rise of zhao jiadi but then I found the 2022 season 1 and this season 2 currently airing so now I am not sure what I will watch.
I liked the main girl but I hate chinese dramas how they start completely changing the show to increase episodes. In this one they did that by suddenly making the mom a main character and her relationship a big focus. I skipped pretty much all that though.

It seems there is another channel with the first episode that comes up on google called Jocelyn but that isn't the right channel... for a more specific search look up this "summer_x_summer_-_02 dailymotion" and the results should be the right channel. I just skimmed the channel from that result and it looks like it still has all the episodes.
couldn't get passed the second episode.. first episode was somewhat tolerable but the second episode started quickly going in a direction I disliked, most of my problem was from the main girl being an idiot
