I’m not going to try to educate you but share my interpretations from my viewing hahaha

—-From my perspective, the reasoning that she gave when she was discussing with the fashion designer was a tad strange but it looked like she panicked. When she went outside, she immediately regretted what she said.

—I don’t think they treated homosexuality lightly or like a zoo or circus at all in this show from my viewpoint. The chef and the girl both shutdown any negativity the instance they hear of people spouting nonsense.
Like you said, they made many good points during the conversations.

It’s not used as a comedy trope in this drama, not at all, in fact it’s very serious, at least in the first 2 episodes, I can’t speak for the future episodes though. —I really suggest giving this show a try. —the conversations are thoughtful and respectful

First two episodes of sweet munchies got me good! The food! And the strong chemistry/tension between the male leads. I’m shipping the male leads together LOL

Episode 2 was amazing! I love the cooking show concept within this drama.
—that clothes measuring scene between the male leads was so hot! I was nervous and sweating in their behalf LOL! I ship the male leads together badly! Second lead syndrome is strong!
—I’m impressed with every leading character in this show. They are strong and speak their minds. They aren’t timid people.
—this episode! They were very respectful towards lgbt people. It’s really well-done!

Conservative Korea sure is sleeping on this drama. Episode 2 got a 1.1 rating. WTF

—it’s disappointing, but I want to applaud the team for their courage for showcasing a taboo topic as one of the centerpieces of the show.
—even if this topic was not one of the headliners, it is already a fascinating show on its own. It has a good story, a good heart, and good food.
•now I’m off to watch episode 2 :)
