Getting involved with a known philanderer is a lesson in heartbreak, but I'm going to give this a go just for Wu. I really liked him in Autumn's Concerto. First time, and so far last time, I ever suffered 'second lead syndrome'.

Hehe ... he made you wanna move to Korea & try your luck as an actress, huh? I know the feeling, though ain't nobody in Korea gonna hire my ass since I'm not white. Sadly I've heard Asians are pretty racist, esp against people of colour.
I love guys who love their mothers, but if Korean society is really like how it's depicted on TV I think that's taking it too far. Husbands should support their wives (& vice versa) ... not saying that he should rude to his mother or anything like that (I believe in respecting the elders), but there should be some boundaries & ground rules, you know what I'm saying? His mother shouldn't be all up in he & his wife's business as if they're little kids. Tsk!
I'm so sick of seeing this in kdramas, but I know to avoid it I'd have to stop watching dramas ... and I'm not yet ready to do that. Moreover, the big irony is that I'm planning to watch Can We Get Married soon. I saw the 1st ep & I can just tell the female lead & her mother are going to try my last nerve. But I want to watch it because I like the kid who plays the female lead's love interest (can't remember his name) ... & because it appears to have taken a mature approach to the romance.
Yup, love being mrs. Lee, if only in la-la land! My hubby is so damn sexy & foine it's sickening! :p

Shiiiite, I'm definitely passing on 3x Married ... witchy monster in laws, I'm soooo over them! Seriously. More than anything I lose respect for a lot of these blasted Korean men who can't stand up to their mothers and cut the fucking navel string. Ugh ...
Lord, if I had a man like that! I'd surely commit double homicide.
I'm curious though ... wonder why it's called 3x Married? Any indication that she'll leave current hubby and re-married previous hubby, who I'm assuming she also still loves? Is that where this is possibly going, ya think?
Sounds like too much negative angst and drama for me to watch personally, but keep me updated! :-)
Oh and thx for the rec of World's Within. Already seen it. Was aight, gave it an 8 I think. Hyun Bin sure was one smexy arse brother in it, jesus ...!!!

Well, she's my least favourite Korean actress. While I won't watch her in most things I do plan on watching her in Secret Garden, though I swore up and down that I wouldn't. I later decided that I like the screenwriter (and Hyun Bin) enough to stomach her for 20 episodes.
What you working on? Something about 3x Married? An article perhaps?

Haha ... I hear yah loud and clear re Marry Him. As much as I like LDG and YHE (or whatever her name is ... the lead girl), I'm staying away from that one with a ten foot pole. Sounds like a hot mess. Are you planning to watch Prime Minister and I ...? Not my type of drama usually but I'm so stressed with work that I just want to watch something light and brainless when I get home. I'll be keeping an eye on how it develops. Let's hope it doesn't tank like Marry Him If You Dare.

Empress Ki stars HJW so I won't watch it. Moreover it's a sæguk so it's probably gonna be tragic too. Tell me a little about the The Woman Who Married 3 Times. Is it that she married and divorced 3 times? Is she married in the drama now or about to get married? And let me guess those two dudes on the poster with her are both smittened by her & fighting over her, am I right? Sigh ...

Aigoooo, uri dongsæng must think I'm a really bad eonni!!!
Took me all of 2 mths to respond to your last post. Aigoo, Bi-aniyo, dongsæng! Eonni has been really busy with sh*t, even though I'm around on the site every day. Sometimes I just don't have the brainpower to respond to wall posts after a long day so I just lurk.
Last time we spoke Secret was your latest obsession. How was it? I heard it was kinda far-fetched and crazy so I kinda pushed it off my radar. What you been watching otherwise? Are you watching Heirs? I wanted to watch it, but the preliminary reviews have been so bad I'm gun shy! lol
Then there's Marry Him if You Dare ... which most people have said was a huge disappointment. Now I'm not sure if I should buy into the bad buzz give the demographic on this site, but even a couple chingus who I know and trust were pretty pissed off with the show. What did you think ... if you watched it?
Did you ever finish Family Honour? I watched the first ep, but wasn't feeling it so I paused it indefinitely. Peer pressure led me to start 2 long ass dramas which I kinda regret because they're both foolishness, Ugly Alert & I Love You, Don't Cry. The former is better than the latter, nevertheless they're really draggy & I swear if I watch another drama with screeching mothers trying to control their children's lives i'mma %&"!#/? kill somebody! I swear! lol

My dearest Carrot! It has taken me almost 2 months to respond to your last post. Apologies, apologies, apologies! I love chatting with you so I'll do better next time. I've just been really busy the last few months and sometimes I get so tired that I don't have the energy to respond to wall messages.
Anyway, what have you been up to, chingu? What have you been watching?
In your last post to me you asked where I got the pic of Lee Seo Jin on my profile ... I got it off of another friend's profile! Feel free to copy it if you like! hehe
Who could blame you, LSJ is so fine, isn't he? LOL
By the way, you must have noticed my name change ... haha! I couldn't help myself! I want to be mrs. Lee if only in la-la land! *_*
I see you plan to watch Mou Ichido Kimi ni, Propose. I saw it recently. Not a bad drama, but don't expect passionate romance like you saw in Lovers. Actually there was barely any romance ... it's more a slice of life type of show, but I still liked it. I love Takenouchi Yukata.
I'm not watching anything at the moment. I like taking a little break from dramas to avoid burnout. Last drama I completed was Taiwanese, Down with Love. It was cute.
You haven't been around in 2 days. Hope to see you soon! Even though we haven't spoken in a while I've missed you.
Come back soon and fill me in on what you've been up to! :)

Beauty, what's up? Long time no chat. I see you're watching Just You, how are you liking it?
He's got the face and swagger of a leading man. Looks good on the catwalk too. Hope he one day makes a movie or drama I'd be interested in watching!

I know the feeling of not being able to suspend belief when the plot is totally illogical. I'm able to overlook flaws when they aren't glaring enough to pull me out of the story. If I'm too busy trying to make sense of things, instead of enjoying the show, then that will affect my rating. Perfect example, Time Between Dog & Wolf, which I saw recently. A bunch of hard boiled gangsters plotting an illicit drug trade right next to federal agents looking for reasons to haul them in. #smh It just makes you wonder what were the writers & director smoking! lol
Anyway, cinema for me is first and foremost entertainment.
When it comes to romcoms I know many plots are going to be ridiculous and cliche so as long as the romance is passionate I'm happy. I remember long time ago when I wrote you the bible (lol) I explained why I liked romance is mixed in with other genres. If there's a good ongoing romance between the leads, that will keep me watching long after all the mysteries have been solved. Or even when there's a theme I don't particularly enjoy. Like politics, for example.
I absolutely loved City Hall in spite of its political backdrop! See, THAT's romance done right, without losing the signatures of Korean culture. If I could find more shows like that I'd be on cloud 9.
But wait, who don't you like? Cha Seung-won? Or Kim Sun-ah? I liked them both in the drama. It was my first time seeing Kim Sun-ah, but I had seen Cha Seung-won previously. Haha The guy is a hoot! He's so ridiculous, but really manly too despite his metrosexual tendencies. City Hall was fantastic. Interesting that you liked it. Even though you say you aren't I keep remembering you - maybe because of some conversation we had long ago - as one of these anti-romance MDL'ers! :)

Oh I see. Interesting new system you've got there!
You're right though this was typical underwhelming K-romcom fare. But I don't watch this genre looking for masterpieces. I remember while watching I got the impression the director couldn't make up his mind whether he wanted to make a romantic comedy or a melodrama. I hate when there's that sort of inconsistency in tone. But I still enjoyed the show because both Han Hyo Jo and Go Soo are so photogenic. And their chemistry was so hot!
I can't remember if you've seen Empire of Gold? That's the role in which I really grew to respect Sooya for more than just his pretty looks!

Ah, Yi San, Yi San ... I still need to watch that. LOL Lee Seo-jin actually masters the art of non-acting. hehe I just like his style ... and everything else about him. I do like a manly man, Bladey, I do! They're my weakness. hehehe
And omg don't talk to me about his dimples! Aigoo... I feel a little weak in the knees every time they make an appearance! haha
Anyway I'm off to make dinner for my real husband who doesn't like that he often gets sidelined for some TV dude! hehe Good thing he has NO interest in Asian TV or cinema (beyond what I force him to watch) and never comes on MDL! :)

I see Love 911 wasn't to your taste. It was fine for me, mainly because I really like both leads. Go Soo is definitely my back up husband when Seo-jin and I have a fight! ;)

Oh wow, so you're a dancer too! Nice. I totally lack coordination so I could never be one. lol I would have loved to see the show. Can you believe that I've never been to the Bahamas? Could have, but never had any desire to. Since I've been chatting with you, though, and looking at that lovely beach pic every time I visit your profile I've wanted to ... haha! This desire is compounded by the fact that for the next 6-7 months we'll literally be living in an icebox. Arrrgh...
Good luck with the show and your little fixer upper! However, you should still pop in & show your face! :p

I was trying to remember what role Uneko Aya played in Rich Man Poor Woman because I couldn't recall her being in the show. Turns out that she isn't so you must have mixed her up with Aibu Saki, who played the supporting female role.

Haha blessings, unnie! I love mr. Lee so much! Hehehe It's nice being his wife if only in la-la land! LOL! ;)
You know I was just about to come write you. I was sitting here missing the lovely warmth of the Caribbean as I look out my window at the first snowfall of the year. You've been MIA for a good week! Aigoo, you can't do that, chingu! Isn't your computer fixed yet?
Thx for the update on Innocent Love. Happy to at least hear it's not as tragic as expected, but I'm not surprised the romance is lacklustre. Most Japanese romances are. Very half-baked. If you want to see more of Uneko Aya check her out in Nagareboshi, another romance that's not really a romance, but it's a nice drama & her role is quite interesting. I also just love me some Takenouchi Yukata.
What have you been up while you were away? Any special plans for Christmas?
